So, given all the horrible news that we get everyday, I feel that this happy story is worth sharing.

‘Avert the plague’: Religious leaders in J’lem say joint prayer against COVID-19

In Jerusalem, outside the King David Hotel, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch, Latin Archbishop, both Chief Rabbis, two Muslim Imams, and the Druze religious leader met. They all said a prayer together, in their own languages and traditions, for protection from and eradication of COVID-19.

Above is the link. The actual prayer doesn't start until about two minutes in. At about the 14 minute mark, His Holiness Theophilus speaks his bit in English.

I know that as Orthodox we're not always fans of ecumenical prayers like this. However, given that they all prayed according to their own traditions, I'm okay with it. It's very rare for the religious leaders to meet, much less together all at once. Hopefully it'll help improve relations in the area.

This will do nothing. Bishops are to pray and surround themselves with their own laity not some diverse bunch of clerics. St. Ignatios taught:
Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.
