OT or NT laws?

Are we still under the OT laws?

  • Yes, they apply today as they did then

  • Not all of them apply to us today

  • Only the 10 commandments apply

  • No, we are under NT law

Folks
I know we should be talking about TITHING here.
But please help me. Lets get one thing at a time.

1. Some folks say "We are not under the law" (They mean the OT law that was introduced through MOSES by God ).

2. Folks! Help me! Does this mean that we don't have to worry about the
"TEN COMMANDMENTS". You mean to say we can "kill" and get away by
asking Christ to forgive us.

3. If you could please send your opinion for 1 and 2 I'd appreciate.
Once I know this for sure I will talk to you about TITHING.

So lets keep it simple... I am not trying to detour from our discussion
on TITHING! I will be back one I hear from you.

Now my study BIBLE says that we are still under Gods moral law( TEN COMMANDMENTS ) but we are not under the old "ceremonial" laws
which were used to obtain forgiveness for sin ( Like sacrificing animals )

Your kind opinion please!

God Bless

The laws of the OT must be known, studied, even in some cases, embraced.

Now, do I believe all laws must be kept? Not nessecarilly, some of those laws were done for health or patriarchal or other reasons, that simply don't apply to the world of today, simply because of our culture.

However, those laws weren't written for no reason, therefore, should be studied, and even followed depending on which laws they are. Remember, they are our roots.

The laws of the NT however, should ALL be be embraced and followed closely.
