You got it backward, there is whole-lot more legalism among the messianics than in SDA churches. Evident even in your post when you refer to the name of God as it is influenced by the Sacred Name sect among the messianics.
Well, I won't make a big deal out of the disparaging essence of this comment, but I will say that it does not seem to be accurately representative of a fruitful faith. We in our Messianic congregation do not believe in observance if the Law to be saved, unlike alot of Adventist that do...

Strong’s

le·gal·ism

Yeshua my salvation> Notice the words that i bolded in red above. "The spirit" is actual though unstated since or sinificance of something. It is of vital importants and it is real. The spirit is not the exact or primary meaning of the word as the literal is, most Seventh Day Adventist believe that the letter of the Law is going to save them though they won't say this at first but that is exactly what they believe, they believe that they have to be good to pay there entrance to heaven.

This attitude is exactly why you can not understand what was answered to your arguments.
Yes, you're indeed, "not arguing." You have no argument. All You've done is to present your unsupported opinion again and again in your posting. You have not proved anything but your inability to present an argument. But I will argue with you if you present something worth arguing with. So far you haven't. That is if you're up to it. If not, then I guess you will just keep making non sequiturs concerning my posting, and empty accusals that you cannot even point out, much less prove and I will keep exposing the lack of logic and scriptural basis in them.

What you failed to grasp is the bible teaches we must produce the fruit by turning away from sin, living a life free of sin. This is our position.

On the contrary, it is the messianics camp who are zealous of the law maintain we must keep the law of Moses. Are you not one?

We have a lot more in common than difference. While the flavors are just enough to make it interesting, we should rejoice our difference and rejoice those things we are the same on. Being in the minority regarding the sabbath issue, should unit us.

I know the Adventisit position or rather most Adventist position, believe me, but the fact that i disagree does not make me less of an Adventist then you just because i attend a Messianic Adventist church..

On the contrary, it is the messianics camp who are zealous of the law maintain we must keep the law of Moses. Are you not one?
And by all means we should, Paul himself was zealous of the law, yes and i'm certainly one of them, but listen carefully to this - the fact that i'm zealous and love the law of God ... "Observance" of it does not pertain in anyway to my Salvation, i'm simply saved by his life not by any works of righteousness which i have done... Salvation is exclusive of how good you are or how well "you observe the law," if you think you have to keep it to it's perfection to be saved then you will never know if you are saved..... I don't put may faith in observance of the law, because if righteousness came by the law then Yeshua is dead in vain.

Yeshua is our Salvation and our faith should be placed completely in him not in our observance of anything, nor in how good we are to merit a gift, we don't deserve the gift. It is freely given to us upon accepting Yeshua as our L-rd and personal Saviour and we do not have to be worthy to recieve it.

Well, what more can I say to that?
Well i have tried my best to explain to you that you are certainly in error on your view of the law.. as it has been proven by the original languages.... You do not have to stop believing in your Adventist doctrines of the sanctuary and many other unique belifes of the Adventist church to agree with me on this issue... You see even a couple of the best minds in Adventisim agree with me [Samuel Bacciocchi] - is ceretainly one of them...

Article Title: Educational Work
"God's holy, educating Spirit is in his word. A light, a new and precious light, shines forth upon every page. Truth is there revealed, and words and sentences are made bright and appropriate for the occasion, as the voice of God speaking to them.

When you read the OT feasts, what light shines forth?

I think you misunderstand the Adventist position. Although you are perhaps right that a majority of Adventists believe that they are saved by keeping the law (and especially by going to church on Saturday, not eating pork, and not smoking), that is not really the Adventist position. That is only what some people think. Those of us who are really Christians (and there are some in the Adventist Church) do not keep the law in order to be saved. I would edit your above statement to say that if you think you have to keep the law perfectly to be saved, then not only will you never know if you are saved but you never will be saved because no one can do that. I think we can agree on this. And if you want to keep the feasts, that's fine with me. By the way, my husband is Tall73, who started this thread, and I agree with what he has posted.

I know, but most "Traditional Adventist churches are extremely legalistic" please believe me, i came form a traditional Adventist Church and moved to a Messianic church Sabbath mornings with my parents that are Messianics none Adventist.. and a Messianic Adventist Church Sabbath afternoons with my friends that are Adventist... I spend the whole Shabbat in service and ive really learned how to truely observe the Shabbat the way G-d mandates, it is the most spactacular feeling sister you have no idea.. Praise the L-RD

Let's at least take a look at the feasts to see if there is anything in the fall feasts that is of prophectic interest.

To start the Feast of Trumpets you must have two witnesses spot the new moon. Now the two trumpets of silver can be paralleled to the two witnesses who are calling people to the last call of redemption. The two witnesses will call for the ingathering of the believers and for the journeying that will need to be done spiritually to be in the place in the wilderness, where God can again speak to us as it was at Mount Sinai.

Numbers 10:1-2 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

Remember brass represents judgment, gold is divine nature, and silver is redemption. There is no silver in the new heaven and earth reign of Christ, indicating that redemption has ceased for there is not more need for it in a new world of saints in whom is no guile, and who are perfect in Christ.

Matthew 17:4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Yeshua, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

Now that will be the time when the book is opened and it tastes sweet, but when the full impact of what this means, to the wicked and those in rebellion to the Word of God will cause the stomach to churn.

Revelation 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

When the two witnesses come, they will come in the power from on High. They will be able to command plagues like Moses and conviction will be with their words, for Yeshua will be with them like a voice out of the cloud. The clouded mind that each and every one of us has is confusion on one point or another, lost and not knowing where to turn, will be cleared by the messages of the two witnesses of Revelation. It will ring true and will be like the voice of God to our hearts and minds. It will bring us convictions, repentance, and salvation in the mysteries of God that have for so long been covered by traditions and our own sinful lives. They will cause the mystery of God to be finished. The hidden things of God will no longer be hidden, the truth will shine in all its glory.

The two witnesses message and the son of perdition that appears to confuse the masses brings about tribulation such as never before witnessed upon the earth. Tribulation of the mind and turmoil with the conflicts of information given. As tribulation is in everyone’s mind, so also will the outwards signs of turmoil be among the people, as the rulers look to control the masses, and leaders look to lead the crowd. Everyone will be taking a position, everyone holding and protesting even if it takes forcing their beliefs or position upon others until there is nothing left to be said because everyone is willing to die for the position they will then hold. All the world will then be judged accordingly, and the plaques will fall afflicting each and everyone justly in righteous judgement.

Rev. 13:5 And there was given unto him [the sea beast] a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

In that three and one half time period, during this turmoil, those who are witnessing for Christ will find it getting extremely difficult to the point that they will wear out. They will be exausted from warning and wooing on the hardness of the hearts of men to change while there is still an opportunity.

Daniel 7:25 And he [the horn that came up] shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

During the Feast of Trumpets, you will have watchmen who will give out the trumpet warning, the heralding of the news, the announcements of what is soon to come to pass. These watchmen on the wall of Zion are the two witnesses of Revelation.

Numbers 11:24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle. 25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease. 26 But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.

So it will be when the two witnesses, in Revelation, prophesy to the world, they will open the eyes of the world as to what is going on in God’s world. They will also show what is going on and going to happen in our world as we near the end of earth’s history

I'm not sure why you posted them here. But the two posts contain mostly futurist views of the endtime events. We don't have alot in common like you said earlier. We are diametrically different.

There is nothing wrong with having both, God works in all diamentions and would have no problem presenting a message that is for all ages for all times and for all events. He could even have the same prophecy used over again, because as you know history has a habit of repeating itself, if we do not learn the lesson the first time.

The two witness, the law and prophet: the scriptures, have been given for thousands of years.

And 3& 1/2 prophetic year prophecy had already been fulfilled by history. If one says there is multiple fulfillment to this prophecy, then he is saying Jesus wouldn't come back for another 1200 some years.

When you say brass represents judgement and silver represents redemption, is it your understanding or you were quoting from somewhere?

Think three dimensional.... there is the height, the width, and the depth, now put in the prospective of prophecies. While I have no argument over the day year prophectic understanding, I also have no problem with the day means day understanding either. Just as the churches once existed in John's time can still be related to the spirit of the churches we see around us today. I would not as you have suggested put on another 1260 years.

Num. 21:9 Deuteronomy 28:23 Brass = judgement
Matt 27:3-9 Silver = Redemption

These concepts have been arrived at mostly by comparing scripture with scripture throughout the Bible and finding that there are similarities of interpretations through scripture especially as you compare scripture with scripture.

1. Gold - Commonly held to denote in all Biblical passages the divine nature of God. The New Jerusalem is built with gold more than any other single element. We must be built up with His divine life and divine nature.

2. Silver - Used to buy back slaves. The meaning commonly accepted is Redemption. We were redeemed with quite a price from our slavery.

3. Brass - Judgement. There is almost no argument on this point amongst scholars. The sacrificial altar was built with brass and so were many other items of tearing, securing, binding, gathering the blood and etc.

4. Blue - Heavenly. This relates to Christ's heavenly glory.

5. Purple - Royalty: Christ's Kingship, Headship, Lordship and authority.

6. Scarlet - Denoting the blood of Christ in its various power and aspects toward God and man.

7. Fine linen - Fine twined linen denotes the purity and righteous nature of Christ and finely woven and innate intimately.

8. Goat's Hair - something of the outward ordinariness of the man Jesus within which was hidden the glories of the eternal. Isaiah says "He was as a root out of dry ground" and "there was no beauty that we should desire Him."

9. Ram's Skins Dyed Red - This is the covering before God of the justifying, cleansing and sanctifying blood of the Lamb by which we can enter the Dwelling Place of God and abide in his tabernacles under the shadow of the Almighty! Without the blood of Jesus, truly there is nothing! This would also have further meaning if we consider the story of how God shed the first blood sacrifice to cover Adam and Eve in the garden with God's righteousness or a symbol thereof.

10. Sealskins - This covering will keep out damaging worldly elements. (Rain, snow, burning sun … etc. Surely this is a function of dwelling in the true building up together of God's holy ones! Another function is that it will keep the warmth in.

11. Acacia wood - this is a high and hardened, upgraded wood. In other words it is the humanity in the new creation. It is Christ's humanity in us making us all part of the one new man: "for as in Adam all die but in Christ shall we be made alive" Praise the Lord this making alive has already begun with in us and is proceeding on!

12. Oil for the Light - There seems to be no argument here at all. Oil is universally considered to mean the Holy Spirit and even several scriptures actually tell the very same. The light refered to here, of course is the Lampstand. In Zechariah it is referred to as the Spirit, having One base but seven branches or lights. In Revelation of course there are the Seven Spirits of God but of course we could spend forever on that subject!

13. Spices For The Anointing Oil : These spices come from various plants mentioned in other parts of the Pentateuch and are types of various aspects of the riches and graces of our Lord's death and resurrection. This has to do with the Lord's work through His resurrection and ascension to work Himself into us empower us and bear fruit through us.

14. Spices for Incense: This is also the same oil but different spices for living not empowering and is toward God instead of toward man. This has to do with the processing of these aspects of His death-resurrection mid-process to process us into His image and likeness. This of course is for a fragrance towards God and contributes to intercession.

15. Onyx Stones: To be placed upon the breastplate of the high priest. Stones signify us as offspring of His life and constituents of the organism of the processed Triune God for His expression that He may be glorified. (It's all in I Peter ch. 2.) We don't metamorphosize from dust of the ground into transformed living precious stones over night. Consider petrified wood and consider how it gets the way it gets.

A few disagreements...

The time prophecies has no endtime fulfillments. Try to match the current nations to the identifying characters in Daniel and Revelations. They don't fit.

Blue symbolizes the law. Messianics would know this.

Brass symbolizes strength and silver symbolizes obedience.
It is good to re-look at what is out there in our nations today and who is portraying the characteristics of those represented in Daniel and Revelation, keeping within biblical definitions.

Globalization speaks to redistribution of the world’s wealth. Sounds magnanimous, but wait. The agenda is to concentrate that wealth (therefore, power) in the hands of few who manage the masses by means of international law.

By definition, globalism is an interdependent, one-world state that undermines Western traditionalism inclusive of the US Constitution, free enterprise, Judeo-Christian ethic, and the traditional family—all of which, over time, are exchanged for so-called enlightened collaborative consciousness in the name of “collective security.”

******************

Convening at the highest levels, and poised at the center of the New World Order, the UN already represents a limited form of world government. Offering an exhaustive framework for global governance, more than 500 multinational treaties have been deposited with the UN.

********************

The EU is first in position, as prelude to full-blown globalism; similarly, it is first in preeminence... What is happening today in the European Community almost guarantees the economic dominance of Western Europe in the burgeoning New World Order.

... Already the Club of Rome (edited to add - yes, associated with the UN) has divided the world into ten political-economic regions referred to as “kingdoms.” Adopted by twenty-five countries at the second session of the World Constituent Assembly, the 1977 Constitution for the Federation of Earth proposes an administrative structure of twenty world electoral and administrative regions with ten mega-regions.

Well, take the context of 1260 for example, how can another institute/power ever fulfill to the letters?

We are at the toes of the millennial man. That's what you quoted.

Long time at the toes too.... waiting for the stone made without hands to take the whole image down. So while the Daniel prophecy has its 1260 day year... Revelation has the ten kings in the last days.

Both Revelation and Daniel said that understanding would not happen til " the seventh seal" "end of days" Since we are at the end of days, we are all looking forward not back for the opening of the seventh seal and the end of days.

The Acts of the Apostles, page 585, paragraph 1
Chapter Title: The Revelation
In the Revelation all the books of the Bible meet and end. Here is the complement of the book of Daniel. One is a prophecy; the other a revelation. The book that was sealed is not the Revelation, but that portion of the prophecy of Daniel relating to the last days. The angel commanded, "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end." Daniel 12:4

We know that EGW never thought the latter rain fell in her generation. We know that when it falls, this will be the time of the outpouring and chances are that it will happen during the opening of the seventh seal. Looking forward to this, we must study the Word to understand the messages that will come with this outpouring.

Evangelism, page 701, paragraph 3
Chapter Title: The Message Triumphant
The Latter Rain.--Let Christians . . . ask in faith for the promised blessing, and it will come. The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was the former rain, and glorious was the result. But the latter rain will be more abundant.-- Signs of the Times, Feb. 17, 1914.

Just as it was news to the Jews when Jesus taught them to look for more that what they already had and knew in spiritual matters, so must we also look forward to more in the latter rain.

Are you ready to face the final test? Moving forward in faith, can you walk with God through His Word and see by the eyesalve that the Lord has offered his believers to move forward in faith?

The Faith I Live By, page 333, paragraph 2
Chapter Title: Facing the Final Test
Under the figure of the early and the latter rain, that falls in Eastern lands at seedtime and harvest, the Hebrew prophets foretold the bestowal of spiritual grace in extraordinary measure upon God's church. The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was the beginning of the early, or former, rain, and glorious was the result. . . . But near the close of earth's harvest, a special bestowal of spiritual grace is promised to prepare the church for the coming of the Son of man. This outpouring of the Spirit is likened to the falling of the latter rain.
Is it not time for the walk up call? Are we not to search the scriptures to see if it is so?
The Ministry of Healing, page 36, paragraph 4
Chapter Title: Days of Ministry
Wealth or high position, costly equipment, architecture or furnishings, are not essential to the advancement of the work of God; neither are achievements that win applause from men and administer to vanity. Worldly display, however imposing,

is of no value in God's sight. Above the seen and temporal, He values the unseen and eternal. The former is of worth only as it expresses the latter. The choicest productions of art possess no beauty that can compare with the beauty of character, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit's working in the soul.
What in your mind is the advancements? more people believing the organization will be the boat of salvation? How about that the Word of God is advancing and with prayer and personal study with the Holy Spirit as your guide you search the scriptures to learn what God is speaking to His people today?

Selected Messages Book 2, page 105, paragraph 1
Chapter Title: The Three Angels and the Other Angel
The book that was sealed was not the book of Revelation, but that portion of the prophecy of Daniel which related to the last days. The Scripture says, "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased" (Dan. 12:4). When the book was opened, the proclamation was made, "Time shall be no longer." (See Revelation 10:6.) The book of Daniel is now unsealed, and the revelation made by Christ to John is to come to all the inhabitants of the earth. By the increase of knowledge a people is to be prepared to stand in the latter days.
By the increase of knowledge, a people are prepared to stand in the latter days. Would that not mean that the Word of God is opened up more, and more of the Word of God takes on significance to prepare the people to be able to stand in the latter days like the OT feasts?

Feast of Trumpets

3 The LORD said to Moses, 24 "Say to the Israelites: 'On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts. 25 Do no regular work, but present an offering made to the LORD by fire.

In Temple times, the priesthood sounded three trumpet blasts every morning to announce the opening of the Temple gates. So too, it is believed, that the first trumpet blasts of the Feast of Trumpets announce the opening of the gates of Heaven. This is traditional Feast of Trumpets image is fully employed in

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

In this tradition, the gates of Heaven are opened to receive our prayers of repentance and remain open until the conclusion of the Day of Atonement. This will be our opportunity to be shown the things which must be hereafter, the soon to come to pass in the last hours of earth’s history. Those things that we need to know and understand to be able to stand in the last days. The Day of Atonement service is concluded with one long trumpet blast which announces that the gates of heaven have closed and judgement is complete. Therefore, the sound of the trumpet on Feast of Trumpets is a remembrance of the need to repent before judgement is made. Since the two witness are preaching repentance, it would not be surprising that they start at Jerusalem.

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

True repentance, deep thorough and sincere will bring a gift from God. It is one of the prized gifts that a believer can receive and it is the gift of the Holy Spirit, so necessary in its fulness in the last days of earth’s history. Keep on repenting until the Lord blesses you with this gift.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yeshua Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It will be worth it, for it will such a refreshing experience after living in this sinful world, to have a taste of heaven, to experience Holiness, to eat of the Hidden manna, and there is no sin worth keeping in comparison to the blessings provided if you would just give up those favorite sins.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

How else is God going to prepare His people for the Day of Atonement but by the trumpets?

The Faith I Live By, page 210, paragraph 2
Chapter Title: The Sanctuary Of God
In the great day of final atonement and investigative judgment, the only cases considered are those of the professed people of God. The judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and takes place at a later period. . . . The books of record in heaven, in which the names and the deeds of men are registered, are to determine the decisions of the judgment. . .
In that great day of final atonement....She is speaking of a day here in the near future, not a day that happened in 1884 or 1888. We are in these final days and one day it will be final.
God's Amazing Grace, page 69, paragraph 5
Chapter Title: Christ is Priest Upon the Throne
We are now living in the great day of atonement. . . . All who would have their names retained in the book of life should now, in the few remaining days of their probation, afflict their souls before God by sorrow for sin and true repentance. There must be deep, faithful searching of heart.
EGW pointed out the William Miller's understand needed to be changed, that included the prophecy of Daniel.
Life Sketches of Ellen G. White, page 63, paragraph 2
Chapter Title: The Disappointment of 1843-44
Instead of the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 referring to the purifying of the earth, it was now plain that it pointed to the closing work of our High Priest in heaven, the finishing of the atonement, and the preparing of the people to abide the day of His coming.
Isn't it time to re-look at the prophecies and the OT feasts.
Lift Him Up, page 136, paragraph 2
Chapter Title: Lift Him Up as the Divine Lawgiver
"The temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of his testament" (Rev. 11:19). The ark of God's testament is in the Holy of Holies, the second apartment of the sanctuary. In the ministration of the earthly tabernacle, which served "unto the example and shadow of heavenly things," this apartment was opened only upon the great Day of Atonement for the cleansing of the sanctuary. Therefore the announcement that the temple of God was opened in heaven and the ark of His testament was seen points to the opening of the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary in 1844 as Christ entered there to perform the closing work of the atonement.
We know that the investigative judgment goes from the dead to the living.
Patriarchs and Prophets, page 533, paragraph 3
Chapter Title: God's Care for the Poor
"On the tenth day of the seventh month, in the Day of Atonement," the trumpet of the jubilee was sounded. Throughout the land, wherever the Jewish people dwelt, the sound was heard, calling upon all the children of Jacob to welcome the year of release. On the great Day of Atonement satisfaction was made for the sins of Israel, and with gladness of heart the people would welcome the jubilee.
So let's study the trumpets.
Prophets and Kings, page 665, paragraph 1
Chapter Title: Instructed in the Law of God
On the following day the reading and explaining of the law were continued. And at the time appointed--on the tenth day of the seventh month--the solemn services of the Day of Atonement were performed according to the command of God.
