Last Tuesday in Bnei Brak, Israel there was a terrorist who shot and killed five people. He was apprehended by Israeli Police. Among the five killed, was Israeli policeman and Arab Orthodox Christian Amir Khoury. He was from Nazareth, his funeral was this past weekend, and was attended by not only the head of the Israeli Police (they have a national police force) and some other high-ranking government folks, and most of the Arab Christian community, but also roughly 150 ultra-Orthodox Jews; which is particularly noteworthy.

Below is an English article about the funeral. Please keep the politics to a minimum; the treatment of Christians on the Israeli side of the fence is far better than those in the West Bank and Jerusalem (a fact verified by Christians who actually grew up on that side). The main reason that I'm sharing this is not only because mainstream Israeli society responding positively, but also that it was someone from "our" community who is effected.

May Amir Khoury's memory be eternal!
