Okay, I don't know where to post this question, so here is a good spot.
I was reading today about an ossuary that was found in the east. It was found in on Oct.21, 2002, and apparently was inscribed and read "James-son of Joseph, Brother of Jesus.
There were no bones in it...in fact it was empty. But this is the first physical evidence that Jesus was alive.
That is about all I know about this topic.
Does anyone else know anything about this topic. Was it confirmed to be related with Jesus of Nazareth?
I am quite interested in this topic if anyone else has any info on it.
Thanks. ;)

If you're interested in reading material, I suggest you check out, "The Brother of Jesus: The Dramatic Story & Meaning of the First Archaeological Link to Jesus & His Family" by Hershel Shanks & Ben Witherington III. It discusses the ossuary.

I hadn't heard that it was a confirmed fake. I do know that it was shipped from the middle-east over to Canada and it cracked in transit.

I know it has been confirmed a fake and it has been confirmed authentic. Each side has its supporters. Where did you here that the perp was arrested? I have not seen that anywhere.

And just as a general question, should the box turn out to be authentic, will Catholic theology really change?

Nope.

The three names were common back then, so this does not prove that this held the bones of Bishop James of Jerusalem. (The name "Jesus" is also known to us today as "Joshua".)

Looking at the inscription "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus".
It says nothing of who is any of the three men's mother.

And who is Jesus' brother? James or Joseph?

I understand your point, but while all three were fairly common, what would be the odds of having all three together? As for the identity of Jesus' brother, your question makes me smile. I'm not too current on my Hebrew and Aramaic, but I'm pretty sure that the word endings imply that the brother would be James and not Joseph (although, if the brother were Joseph, then James would have been Jesus' nephew ;) )
