What is to be human exactly?

Did anyone here remember that I was living on the streets in the past 4 week's? One particular event threw me on new year's eve, when I was offered a job and food daily by a man who wanted sexual favours. Even after I said no, he persisted to convince me that unless I experienced homosexuality myself I was wrong to not try.

I’m familiar with his teachings. I used to read the messages from the Osho cards often. What is it about him that inspired the correctness you mentioned and how were you led to him?

He had a lot of pithy sayings. If you took them in slivers it sounds good. But when I checked out the book from the library (the Book of Secrets I believe) and I opened it up. Something felt off. False. I knew it was a lie. And I left it alone.

I can’t look at things like that now. My spirit repels them violently and I get physically uncomfortable or experience pain. Because it’s demonic.

Not comfortable but that sounds like a gift. Funny I should stumble along this thread. I have been thinking about discernment a lot lately and have been pondering opening a thread about it in advice.

I wasn’t in Christ then. Obviously. But I often knew what to pursue and what to leave alone. I’m a bit of an oxymoron. I know a lot. But I was smart enough not to put it in action.

Your suspicions are correct. Discernment was the first gift He revealed.

The Spiritual Gifts board has several threads. I wouldn’t take everything as gospel. I post there on occasion and I’ve shared my experiences.

Discernment doesn’t get a lot of attention. And we’re reaping the results of its absence. Those operating in discernment can detect whether the source hails from God, flesh or evil. It’s useful in every aspect of society.

Sometimes they’re exhibiting knowledge, understanding and wisdom in tandem. That’s how I am. I can see a situation and detect the problem and the root. But I’m not called to deliverance or exorcism. However, the knowledge is required for where He’s sending me.

Growth in God equals sharper discernment. It’s like working for Fort Knox. You learn the real McCoy to the point that the fake is obvious.

While I experience physical discomfort or a definite knowing when I’m in the presence of evil. That doesn’t hold true for everyone. I’m very attentive to what I watch, hear and read. Because it affects me. I don’t want to be compromised.

You’re wise to seek the Lord and take your time. He will guide you through the process and sharpen your discernment. There may be some unpleasantness. But you’ll be stronger because of it.

I’d liken it to special ops. It’s offensive and defensive. And if God is leading you to this place. That’s wonderful. We need more laborers.
