CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think the leather one will go with hubs on the boat... That's the true test of everything... surviving 2 months on an aircraft carrier...Well...if you're going to give it away as a gift, I know somebody who would always be grateful...
I ordered the two other ones from St Tikhon's bookstore instead. Hopefully that will give them a cent or two instead of Amazon or so. They weren't as discounted but the 2x 4 dollars won't kill me completely.

Well...alright then. I think that's a pretty wise choice to send it with your husband on the carrier. As a Marine, I can attest to your statement about it being the true test of everything.

I ordered the leather and even after seeing the pics of both I'm still prefering the leather. I actually prefer a minimalist design. I've never wanted most things to be overly ornate. The cover on the leather OSB NT was too flashy for my taste. Give me nice and simple please.

It's bonded leather not leather. There is a huge difference.
But it looks exactly like my Nelson study bible and my Scofield study bible. So I wasn't expecting it to look any different. I'm pleased with it so far.

I got mine yesterday. I bought the leather because I don't like how inflexible hard bound bibles are. Also when the hardbound bibles get knocked around the laminate begins to peel off.
As for the text itself (the most important part!) I can't wait to dig in to it

Yes. I think it is fine. But then, I'm very, very nearsighted, plus I have to use reading glasses for up-close work.

The font. Big enough to read without going blind, yet small enough to keep in an approximately 1300 page volume.
Footnotes. Not only are the footnotes full of various bits of information, but a number of Church Fathers are referred to within the footnotes.
Articles. The little articles such as "Justification by Faith" and "The Holy Trinity" are written well enough to not only make sense, but also explain key bits of our faith to others.
