CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well that is some choice! I was cradle Lutheran myself baptized and raised in a independent church that was formerly Missouri synod, and confirmed in a WELS parish.

Orthodoxy and Lutheranism are superficially similar--liturgical, dignified, serious about correct doctrine, etc.--but very different when you get beyond that. I'm just saying to make a very careful study of each of them if you are at present really torn between the two.

As other replies suggested, you could get some good information by asking questions on both the Confessional Lutheran and the Orthodox forums here (or from individuals who have invited your questions directly).
