• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's got a poor format, doesn't allow you to edit posts, its many 'groups' have only 2 or three members that are mostly inactive...
It was a nice idea, but there are just too many of these things out there.

There's a great story in Russian by Yulia Voznesenskaya called "Cassandra, or Adventures With Macaroni". It's an Orthodox near future post-catastrophe story during the time of the anti-Christ, and most people are glued to computers and Virtual Reality is now called "Reality" for short. The online RP community presented gradually becomes more and more abandoned as people create their own places and come to dislike others'... it's a side note in the story, but I think about it when I see some online communities, and it wouldn't surprise me if they all eventually became like that.

I still go on daily and have met alot of friends on there. But mainly once I get to know someone we just add eachother on facebook and use that. Except for the golden age of their chatroom. That was the most fun ive ever had on the internet period. Too bad no one gets on it anymore

As for the fee, yea we fought that until they dropped the idea.

I haven't been on in a really long time In general I only check my facebook, unfortunately I "friended" my sister who feels it's her duty to monitor everything I do on facebook :purple:

I joined just after it was created and really liked it (I was there before I was here!) I still go occasionally but I get sp many emails on there I find it overwhelming! There are some really amazing posts though, I really hope it finds it's niche again.

hehe, my sister unfriended me on facebook for commenting on her photo! Not cool!!

Is there an English translation of that story?
