I understand that there have been some EOs that are studying for the Priesthood that have taken some courses at our Sem in St. Catherine's Ontario (approved by their Bishop); I hope they don't pick up any bad habbits there.

Yes, a drinking problem can lead to a seminarian's dismissal from the seminary. It has recently happened. 'Nuf said.

I am glad no one told that to the monks at St. Vincents. My spiritual director (a Benedictine Monk who is now rector of the seminary) would often drink a beer or two with us while we were studying!

Only Catholic religious priests, nuns, and sisters wear habits.

If they get holes in them, they become quite holy and breezy.

I guess that would be a bad habit too.

Every time I pass by the Los Angeles Brewery when riding on the 405, I smell the sweet odor of hops and fermenting yeast. It is enough to make one oozy. Glad that I do not live in that area of town as I would be drunk just smelling that aroma.
