ORIGINAL SIN
Original sin is Adams fallen nature transmitted to his posterity.
Original sin and personal transgressions are not the same. Original sin is inherited; transgressions are committed.
Original sin is a result of Adams will; transgressions are the result of the individuals will. Original sin is in the root of mans nature; transgressions are the fruit of ones deeds. Original sin is imparted to one without an involvement of his decision; transgressions are acts resulting directly from ones personal decisions. In the one case, sin is original in that it came from Adam. In the other case, it is personal in that it comes from the individual.
In original sin it is the old man, the carnal nature and the propensity toward evil. In transgressions, one is guilty of his own wicked decisions, evil attitudes, and sinful actions.
When one is forgiven of his transgressions he is born again. When one is purged of original sin his purpose is made one with Gods will. When one is born again his soul is justified by faith. When ones purpose is made one with God his heart is made pure. When one is justified by faith he is adopted into the family of God.
When ones heart is cleansed through faith in Christ from the inbred sin, he is purged from all sin and unrighteousness.
