  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

cool, I'm in the dance club.
I'm also a member of Planned PArenthood VOX, College Democrats, and the Gay Straight Alliance though I'm too busy to go to the meetings now so I just get the e-mails. There's so many more clubs and organizations that I really wanted to join too but I'm just so busy it's hard. Next year I would definitely like to become involved with Students against Sweatshops and our inter-denominational worship group.

I think that I've been involved in just about every college organization on campus at some time!

As an undergrad, I was on student government for three years (it would have been four if I had been elected as a freshman). I was also in the business club, a writer for the school newspaper, and the honor society. I also participated in many of the drama productions (usually behind the stage, although I did get to act during my senior year).

Now that I'm in graduate school, I'm once again on student government. I'm also heavily involved in the swing dance club and the Society for Human Resource Management (although that last one is only because I have to be).

I'm in our student IEEE organization, and I also just became a member of Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honors society. Neither one does much in the way of activities though, so I'd like to get involved with somthing else. I used to go to bible studies with a Christian group on campus, but it didn't really work out after a while.

I'm in a group called Helping Paws. We work at a horse farm, build shelters, clean, or whatever else they need. We also go to the animal shelter in the county and clean cages and wash the puppies and some other stuff.
My church here also has a college group called Salt and Light Christian Fellowship and I do lots of stuff with them, this weekend we went of a retreat and had a guest speaker. We also have small group Bible Studies and a night they call Prayer and Praise. I thought about joining CRU but many of their activities are on the same nights as Salt and Light's. Next year I think I am going to join the Rifle and Pistol Club.

Why am I not surprised to see two elephants in your post. :D I don't think my school even has anything remotely like a firearms club. Maybe I need to start one.

I'm not in college yet, but I do know of two clubs I plan to take when I'm in college in the fall:

I plan to be on the college newspaper, hopefully as an editor.
Also, I plan to be involved with the Prodestant Campus Ministry club as well.

I thought about being in the University Players club, a theater club, but I'm not sure if I will have time for that.

I think there is a second one that is similar, I don't remember exactly what it is though. We have a club/organization for about anything you can think of, it is really easy to get one started, here at least.
And the second elephant wasn't supposed to be up there too, I thought I chose a different icon to go up there, oh well.

Yeah, I use to have two up there also, but I figured that one is enough. :)
