What does the order of service look like at your church? I think it might be helpful to see how others set up their services.

Pre Service
Announcements
Communion

15 minutes before the Service begins - 3 gathering songs
Welcome
Announcements
Anything that informs the congregation (Moderator's Moment, highlight bulletin, any updates).
Call To Worship
Gets the congregation thinking about worshipping God. A Psalm of praise or other such forum of Scripture.
Prayer
Inviting Him to gather with us.
Worshipping God through Singing
Concentrating on praising God and/or following the Theme of the sermon, if possible. - 4 songs
Children's Church
Invite children aged 2 1/2 to 13 years to Children's Church (Sunday School). Prayer for the children and their teachers.
Prayer
A time for the congregation to share prayer requests and praise items. Use variety - Pastor prays; congregation prays; silent prayer, etc.)
Worshipping God through Giving
Special music time. If no special music than 2 songs which focus on prayer and the sermon theme.
Scripture Reading
Scripture passage related to the sermon.
Message/Sermon
Communion
1st Sunday of every month. 1 or 2 communion-type songs
Response to God's Word
1 sending/closing song. Focusing on the sermon theme, if possible.
