THREAD: Aherent Fates: The Ignatius Children

NAME: Opula

GENDER: Male

AGE: 69

RAGE: Human....

OCCUPATION: Healer, scribe, ex-advisor, scholar.

APPEARANCE: He appears rather short, but really he is average size, he just hunches over a lot. His hair is dark gray with various streaks of lighter grays, his eyes are warm brown in color, and his skin tone is olive. He always walks with a cane, and he has a limp... although it's not always consistent, but you have to watch to notice that. He is actually handsome for an older man.

PERSONALITY: Surprisingly formal, considering he lives in the more rural areas. He always speaks with a slightly overdone, regal accent, and does it so consistently it's supposed that's just his real way of speaking. Opula is wise, caring, and downright eccentric. A lot of the times he will say something in such a way that no matter what is said, you just can't take him seriously because of his ostentatious accent.

QUIRKS: He loves a good porridge, and will be your friend forever if you get him some.

WEAPONS: A staff

HISTORY: Born to a scholar and a Lady, Opula had a childhood surrounded with a wealth of knowledge and prestige. Books and academics were his friends as he grew up, although he was cordial in social situations. He was bright from the beginning of his schooling and as time progressed it was obvious he was brilliant, although quite odd. He served the king of Adherin for a good number of years, but upon hearing the death of his father, he left the kingdom and stayed to comfort his mother. After she also followed his father, he stayed on in their retirement cottage in the country, becoming a reknowned hermit. While his lengthy stay at home was spent mainly with his aged mother, he had gone to the nearby village and treated the sick, spending almost all his time doing so when both his parents had died. During that period, he also had an injury with his right foot, gaining the need for a cane. Nobody is sure how much he still needs it, though... He lived alone until one day, he was out gathering some herbs and found the bedraggled Karn face down in his herb patch. Dragging him inside his cottage somehow, he managed to restore him back to good health. Ever since then, he's helped out Karn and even started visiting Adherin. He hasn't told him yet, but he goes to find out more about Karn's background.
