Hey folks, I'm giving you a solid heads up. Equilibrium publishing will be accepting submissions for Flashspec 2, a flash fiction anthology, starting in April. Flash fiction, in this case, is 750 words or less, and it has to be speculative fiction.
Here's the link:

The downside:
*You have to be over 18.
*Your story has to be unpublished in any form--they are serious about this.
*The publishing company is in Australia, if you are accepted you get one free copy of the book. If you order additional copies (and don't live in Oz) the postage is close to the price of the book. Last year I discovered you can minimize this by ordering multiples.
*It does pay, but not very much.
*You will be competing with some pretty amazing authors. (Don't let that stop you, just be aware the level is set pretty high.)
The upside:
*Hello ... Published.
*You get a free book full of great very short stories. (And one of them is yours!)
If you have any questions ask, or use the link to ask Neil. He is actually a pretty good guy. (Don't tell him I said that.
)
Good luck--write something awesome.
