CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My DH thinks I'm really hot while pregnant (Lord only knows why!) and he's bugged me for nude photos of all things. My first reaction, according to him was to give him a look which he claims could kill.
If they were done in a tasteful mannor I might be game but I could never be nakid. I have thought of being in a white prarie skirt and a white sports bra with a white top that buttons up leaving the belly part unbuttoned for black and white photos.
After the 24th, I'll be 9 months pregnant, I'm going to get some vegatable based paint and paint my belly for fall - Jack o Lanturn and apple here I come!

The question is.... how would you develop them? Unless you had a photo printer at home, which we do not.... yet. And who would you show them to? Would you have them taken by a professional photographer?

Maybe. But I would probably just have my hubby (an amateur photographer) take them.
Getting them developed wouldn't bother me. I'm sure they see all kinds of stuff. Plus, if their really tasteful and artistic, it shouldn't be a big deal anyway.

ah, DH would love that I say yes, lets take some nude pics while I am pregnant. I am at the stage, at least right now where I am REALLY showing and NOTHING looks good on or off of me, so there is no way. I think I have almost slumped into somewhat of a state of depression and I don't think that constant reminders would help my situation any. He wanted to take a picture every week of me and how I had changed during the pregnancy, but i have even cut that off because I am just disgusted at the way I look. Thats just me though!

My husband has been dying to do some nude pics (he's a photographer as well) but I have absolutely refused! There is no point but for him and like Leanna said how would we print them, not to mention what would we do with them? Also, I would never pay for something like that which would never be shown but to my husband, waste of my money IMO. However, I will be having maternity portraits done in my 7 or 8th month, I'd be willing to show a fair amount of skin but certainly nothing topless or bottomless for that matter but fabric that covered both would be fine with me. I plan to use one of the more modest picture in my babies room with some scripture beside it.

Or, you can buy photo printing paper pretty inexpensively and print them from a regular printer.

I think if you feel sexy while pregnant and want to do something special for your husband and have a way to print it, go ahead. I'm not sure exactly what I will do for mine, I like the maternity pictures that use the long piece of cloth to cover up but it still looks elegant. I'm still thinking about it, but I think pregnant women are sexy I'm going to do my own though no matter what I am wearing.... set on tripod and jump in Too bad its going to be winter by the time I have a decent sized belly

i would have loved to take some professional pics while I was pregers. Not naked though....my stretch marks would have scared the photographer.
Almost all women have stretch marks though and it doesn't look unusual at all. I just did my friend's maternity photos and she has stretch marks, they were belly sticking out pictures she was clothed.... perfectly normal... actually if you really hate them there are ways to remove them or just blur them so they aren't as pronounced

Almost all women have stretch marks though and it doesn't look unusual at all. I just did my friend's maternity photos and she has stretch marks, they were belly sticking out pictures she was clothed.... perfectly normal... actually if you really hate them there are ways to remove them or just blur them so they aren't as pronounced

I swear it looks like freddy kruegar and bear mualed me!! I don't think any software can touch me up good enough

This reminds me of being in grad school getting an art degree and a bunch of us were sitting around talking about the best figure models we had had in the past. Then one guys mentions that he was in a group that used a pregnant model once. We all immediately wanted to know what it had been like. He confessed it was one of the most awesome things he's ever had the opportunity to draw. I was very jealous. I bet it's amazing.

I would, but haven't. Maybe for my next pregnancy if I start out less overweight! Of course, I've been heckling my husband to take pictures of me (fully clothed!) now that I'm showing and he keeps "forgetting", so I don't know if he'd like them, seeing that he takes hundreds of pictures of our kittens, but none of me. Sigh... not the best way to make me feel good about my looks!

I've been getting different ideas for maternity pictures as time goes along, but I am waiting to be rounder to do them. Anyway, one of my grand ideas involves standing in front of a window with sheers (so that it has a bright white appearance) and then the outline of the pregnant woman would be black (and if not, photoshop could fix that ) and stand sideways with your belly sticking out so you could get the curves without the "tmi" and could even edit out anything that might think about being tmi. I think I'm going to do that.

Just a FYI, I read the other day the best time during pregnancy to take maternity photos is betwen 7-8 months. I guess that when the belly is at it's best shape .

I believe that. At 9 months you're just plain old enormous
I'm going to be 7 months at Christmas time and am going to have my mom take some pictures of me in front of their fireplace in black and white.

I'm 9.5 months. Not only have the strech marks shown up in the past 3 weeks but my stomach isn't round anymore...actually depending on where he is it changes shape, right now I have this weird lump sticking out which I'm assuming since he's head down is his bum!

I totally agree with that assessment.... I was planning to do mine around 7 months because I think that is when I looked "best" last time.
