  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Its funny you ask, my family asked me to register since we're having a little baby shower next month.... and I'm getting frustrated because all I want to register for are things like "Pampers sensitive wipes" and baby wash, lanisoh breast cream, baby hangers.... and NONE of that stuff is on the website because its too small. I didn't want to have to go to the store to register and drag my two year old, I want to sit here at home and do it online. :p

I've enjoyed buying cloth diapers for her :)
because of my allergies I am afraid to use most of the wipes... I have an odd allergic reaction to things that have aloe in them... it isn't just the aloe it's self, cause I am not allergic to the plant, but a combination of aloe and something else... makes my fingers or what ever has touched it swell and itch... sometimes I have to be careful of soaps in bathrooms...
when robert was a baby there was some wipes that didn't have aloe in them, but they stopped making them while he was still a baby :( pampers made them

I wet a diaper and put it in the freezer and then sat on it. Ice pack.

I had a really nice day nurse and I got all that stuff when they moved me from the delivery room to the room I'd be in after. I just had to make sure I had everything before she left because the night nurse was a witch. One of those I had 4 kids on my own in a blizzard so tough it out kind of ladies.

I know what you mean! All the stuff I want is so NOT found at Toys R us. I want a new cotton pouch for a summer sling. I want an herbal AfterBirth bath. I want some Weleda diaper cream. I want my prescription of Zoloft. I want a new set of sheets for my bed.

I let my mom buy a blanket-- but I have tried to ban her from buying clothes. I just don't need them- and I will just donate them. All I need is a pack of socks. I wish people who felt compelled to give us something- would just give us gift cards. But there is something built into people that makes them love to buy baby clothes and baby things-- it's probably a good thing, it's probably hope.

I was very excited about the Pack n' Play- because it is important for me with so many other little ones- to have a safe place to put baby, so I can shower or whatever. Also good for me to have a place to change baby away from two year old fingers pointing out all of baby's facial features. "Eye!!!"

My dh is home today, so I'm going to drag myself to the store and see about creating some kind of small list. All my items are boring though... second babies... ;) Its nice that I even get a shower, I guess its because its a girl.
It's so funny - because I was so never a fan of pink...but when I had my oldest daughter- all I wanted to put her in was pink and purple :D

I had a freind who used to make her own wipes for the same reason...not sure what she used in it but I know the wipes were paper towels...might be an option. she would soak them in a solution and then use them. i helped her change her little one, and they worked really well. you could probably find a recipie :)D seems very funny to call it that) for it online.

You can also just buy a pack of flat diapers and cut them into fourths or whatever size yu like and use water--and the wash the wipes. Or just use paper towels with water...

I haven't bought anything yet - except for a babygrow that my H actaully bought because he really wanted it.

We are planning on getting the pram in June and we'll more than likely get the cot then too. I don't plan of decorating the bedroom until a couple of weeks before (well it doesn't matter if it's after birth as i won't be able to decorate it as i'm allergic to the paint)

I would imagine that i'll buy some baby clothes in the month before but i may not as my sister has loads of neutral stuff from her two so i don't want to buy too much more

He'll prolly hate me for it when he's older but.. I'm so addicted to clothes with like.. bear ear hoods or.. the puppy dog hat with floppy ears. :D And I just saw a hat on the Babies R Us site that looks like a chicken! Ahhh!

Mom wants to get one of those pack n play's for down at the house so he'd have somewhere to crash when I don't feel like climbing two flights of stairs to get back to my nest! So far we haven't but figure my brother's old moses basket will suffice if we can't get one in time.

Ah, I forgot I had wanted to get a sheepskin too.. *makes mental note* My brother used one for the longest time even past infancy.
a sheepskin? what is that?
