[Open] Pelvis spreading??

Today I had an intense pain in my pubic area that felt as if the bones there were breaking or baby had engaged in my pelvis. Is that possible at 29 weeks? I tried asking my mil about it, she thought I was asking about my water breaking. I love her, but she can be completely dense at times!!

yes-- your ligaments will be loosening and your bones spreading now Normally for first time moms, baby doesn't engage until a week or two before birth--but that means where the head really drops down into the pelvic outlet. Baby is hopefuly head down long before that--and sometimes a change in baby's position yields to more pressure.

I completely agree with Rose~ it Is your pelvic ligaments stretching, and with the baby changing position you'll feel it more.

Yup! That's what it was. I felt my hip bones start to spread Sunday in church, that hurt bad!! Why did I do this again? Just kidding, I love being pregnant and I can't wait to see my little boy!!

I've had some aching there. But there are times I feel pressure on my bladder when I'm walking ....well at 30+ weeks I spose there would be. This being my first everything is new
