[Open]No midwives??

Since hubby and I recently moved I haven't found a midwife yet, but I searched for one on YellowBook.com, the nearest one is two hours away! I'm very disappointed because I wanted a midwife, I trust them more than doctors and find them a bit more agreeable.

I'll call the hospital to double check, but now I'm thinking it's because of the area we live in.

Are you open to homebirth? Likely there are some homebirth midwives in your area.

I would also recommend attending a LLL meeting and askng for recommendations there.

Well, I looked into and there really aren't any. However, a really sweet lady at the gas station recommended an OB who delivered her two kids. So, I'll be going to him as soon as my insurance kicks in again. Hopefully it's soon, cause I don't see him staying in there too much longer. I look like I'm nine months pregnant now! lol
