  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

From the time I got pregnant I had a very strong feeling it was a boy, though towards my US I kinda wanted a girl but knew it was going to be a boy. My husband knew the whole time as well, though my family really thought it was going to be a girl.

With my first I didn't have any strong feelings of whether it was a boy or a girl. We should have had a boy because my hubby is one of 6 boys and has only one sister but we had a girl. With my second I felt boy from the start but was worried it was just wishful thinking on my part because I really wanted a boy. Turns out I was right though and I was surprised by a son at the birth :)

I knew at first that Justin was a boy, I ran out and started buying baby boy clothes at 9 weeks pregnant. I progressively started hoping for a baby girl and looking at little girl clothes. I still knew in the back of my mind that it was a boy, though and no amount of wishing could make him what he wasn't. He's definitely a little (big) boy and I can't wiat for him to get here!

I want to know asap with each child we have. Its a surprise until the ultrasound. :D I like that then I can solidify the name in my mind and it all becomes more real and tangible to me... I can picture having my baby girl, instead of the baby that I don't know what gender. And my husband and I start talking about baby by name, although we keep the name secret.

I thought I was having a boy and all my friends guessed I was having a girl. I was right! With my second, I was guessing a girl but turned out to be a boy.
I asked both times NOT to know what we were having however, both times the technician slipped! GRRRRR.
I prefer waiting - it's just more of a surprise! We still couldn't settle on a name once we knew though and I knew a few ppl that had "misinformed" u/s's so I was never satisfied knowing!

God told me that we were having a boy, and gave us his name.

We asked the doctors *not* to tell us the sex, though a few months later I thought I spotted a little *something* on the scan though wasn't absolutely sure from that.

Anyway, we were so sure God had said we were having a boy that we didn't bother thinking about girl names until the night before Benjamin was born, when we started thinking about them just in case we were wrong about him being a boy. Turns out we did hear correctly after all...:D

Before you had your ultrasound to find out what you were having, did you have a feeling of what you were having? Did everyone else guess right or were the "guesses" pretty much split? :D

Hmmm, with my son there were guesses, all I can remember is that my mother in law thought it'd be a boy, and it was. My second I thought was a boy, but it was a girl, and I was equally as blessed.
