  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm due on 27th July and on the weekend of 29, 30th June/1st July my church has a camping weekend. We usually go to this. It's not far out of the town that we will in.

i am trying to work out if its a sensiable or stupid thing to do by going.

what do you reckon - should i go or should i stay home and on the Saturday just go out and visit?

I am due July 9th ish, and I am still planning on camping in June. We go every year with all of our friends, but we just go to a state park that is no more than 5 miles from my house anyways! :p

And so if I get very uncomfortable or if baby wants to come out into the world, I do not have far to go :)

The tent I want to get, has three rooms and it is like a house:

The inside:

So there is plenty of room for Hubby, Me, baby and the two dogs! :)

Dogs on one end, baby on the other, hubby and me in the middle to make sure dogs and baby actually get some sleep! :)

I can't wait to go camping!!! :)

Thats some tent!!

I stayed in a tent like that and when we were all about to go to bed a gust of wind blew the tent right on top of us,I just rolled my eyes and thought "there were like 6 guys that put up this tent, good grief". And they said camping was a guys thing...haha.

LOL!

I am the only girl that goes camping, in my group of friends, because they are all single men! :p (besides my husband) and so they all set up the tents and make the fires and I just hang around complaining about bugs. :)

Its tradition :p

We figured out last summer, the last time we went camping that if we use that bug yard spray, our camp site is less buggy. Go figure.

If you are handling the pregnancy okay, go for it!

I've camped that close to due date before, I find I sleep just as well as I do at home- that is, not very well :)

One thing to keep in mind is night-time toileting. I assume you are getting up in the middle of the night to go wee, camping makes that a little harder. Will the weather be reasonably warm where you're going?

My last pregnancy we camped in the middle of winter and I actually kept a little potty with a lid for use during the night. It was hard enough getting out of bed, I didn't want to be wandering across the park to the toilet block in the cold ;)

Thanks :)

We are going this weekend to see how i get on and then we'll decide. The weather should be ok when we go - last year it was really warm and sunny.
I'm not getting much sleep anyway so i don't think i'll get much less than usual lol

I like what you said Leanna about rather going with a bump than a baby :)

that's the sort of tent that we have at the moment. We'll have to get another one once the baby comes though which is quite sad as H and i had fun camping inthe little on lol

Redstiletto - that is some tent. I don't think we'll go for one quite as big as that lol
