CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I started violin when I was 6 yrs. old and I was in the school choir in elementary. I've stuck with the violin ever since then, but have given up singing...I would like to try again sometime soon, though.

I played basketball...that was the only organized sport we had in elementary school (I was home-educated then on).
I also played soccer for a year or so, but then the league was broken up because there weren't enough players.

The freedom to learn what I wanted and a lot of hands-on stuff. I loved going to the museums, zoos, science institutions, and a bunch of other places that a usual school trip wouldn't go.

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. That place is jam packed with cool exhibits, a lot of fun hands-on stuff, and even a planetarium and a theater. At least that's what I remember of it...I haven't been there in so many years...if I happen to go to Philly, I sooooo wanna try and stop in again.

Bwahaha! I always get people with that one. I say 'VW Thing' and people are like 'VW thing...ok, a VW Bus? Beetle?' And I'd reply 'No, really...VW Thing...it's a car.'
What draws me to it?
First off...practically no one knows what it is, so that makes it like a hidden treasure all in itself.
Secondly...it's just too quirky looking. It's like a boxy Beetle and I absolutely LOVE Beetles (the older style).
