I loved last nights episode of ER - to see Anthony Edwards. Even though it was a sad storyline, it was wonderful to see him. Reminds me of when I fell in love with the show. Let's face it, at this point, I don't have the same investment in the characters that I use to. It was so fun to see so many other cast members that no longer roam the halls of ER. Its sad its the last season, but I'm glad they are giving the fans these lovely treats!

I stopped watching the show when they killed Edwards off...
I have to agree. And it wasn't just because they killed him. I mean, I tried to watch a few seasons after that, but everything I loved about ER died along with Dr. Greene. ER should have thrown in the towel seasons ago.

I'm really enjoying this season. It's like the ER I used to remember. I'm loving Archie now, and I used to hate that character. It seems I'm crying just about every week -- Pratt's death, Abby and Luka sailing off into the sunset, and I loved to see Ray back on his feet, so to speak.

Carter will be back, and Eric LaSalle will be directing an episode but won't make an on-air appearance I don't think. In a way I'm looking forward to the end, because the season has been so much better than the last several seasons, and I know they'll pull out all the stops for the finale. I'll be bawling my eyes out, no doubt. :p

When did ER jump the shark? We've got a lot of votes here for the death of Dr. Green. I think it lasted a little longer than that. I think it definitely jumped when Carter left. We watch the first season on DVD in the year or so before Carter left, and I think it would have been a perfect wrap for the show to have followed Carter's entire career in Chicago. Remember Carter in Episode #1? It was right after watching the pilot on DVD that we saw the episode where he was the one pushing around first-day newbies, chewing them out when they needed it, and really getting the job done. My wife and I said "Wow!! Carter's come a long way!)

Another long time fan here! Though I admit I definitely haven't been watching it as much in recent seasons. When did I loose interest? Meh, it's hard to remember. Definitely when Edwards/Carter/ et all left the show. I just don't feel invested in the characters as I did before. I'll watch it randomly though if I'm not tired on Thursday nights. I loved (and was sad for) the Abby leaving episode where Haleigh took her to see the wall of name tags. LOVED that scene. I always liked her and wished she and Carter would have stayed together. Oh well. I'll surely watch the finale though.
