((I've made something like this before, but I'm going to try doing this a little different this time. I spent a lot of time working on the details, but I hope I don't overwhelm anyone.))

If you are familiar with Digimon, this world which I am creating is kinda similar to the show, but not by much. The story here has no connection to the TV series, so you don't need to know anything about it to join.
The Real World: The world of the humans takes place in the future, not in modern times like the show. Most people in this world own a flying car, and these cars literally drive themselves. No more car accidents!
Cell phones (now just called phones) are now used for nearly everything, even as an ID. They also have holographic technology which allow one to see the person with whom they are speaking. Teleportation machines, which appear to be metalic plates, as used by typing a ten-digit number into a phone, and then the machine instantly zaps you to the location. Not every place has these, and many places can only be reached by other means of transportation.
The Digital World: A few attempts have been made at creating complete virtual reality systems which allow a person to literally enter a video game or website while their idle bodies wait for them at home.
A new video game has recently been created based on this technology named "DigiWorld." This DigiWorld has grown famous for being the first virtual reality game which contained a complete world to explore.
Each player on the game receives one digimon egg. These digimon hatch to become one of several types of virtual pet baby digimon. Depending on how these digimon are raised, these digimon can grow to become a different form. Some digimon can also be formed by the fusion of two digimon.
Digimon come in several levels. The order of these levels are as follows: Baby/fresh > in-training > rookie > champion > ultimate > mega.
There are also three different types of digimon: Data, Vaccine, and Virus.
In this game, digimon are animals, and they cannot talk like they can in the show.
There are many vicious wild digimon in the wild. Some can be found in different places.

But soon, a hacker will infect the game with a major virus, causing many players to become disconnected with their bodies, and preventing any others from entering it. Players bodies begin to move, but they operate on autopilot, with a new robotic mind controlling them to try to make them normal.
The hacker also creates the new virus type digimon, which can only be obtained by joining his side and downloading the virus into a digimon.
This hacker attempts to take over this world as his own with his army of virus digimon and those players who join his side out of fear. All who defy him are killed. Dead players are sent to the Abyss, but it is rumored that it is possible to return from the Abyss.
On the side of good, players have joined the moderators.

1. Join as a player with a sceen name. You may choose whether or not to include your character's real name in his profile.
2. You may start the RP with a digimon with a rookie level or lower. Later on, I may choose to allow people to start with Champion levels, but not early on in the RP.
3. Do not make your digimon digivolve unless I specifically give you permission to. They shouldn't grow too quickly.
4. I shouldn't have to say that god-modding is wrong.
5. You may come up with your own areas to explore.
6. One can have more than one digimon, but no more than two at once.
7. The exagerated size of the Champion and Ultimate level digimon will be reduced. They will still be big, but not that big.

1. Infinity Mountain - Located at the center of File Island. Infinity mountain is the highest mountain in all of DigiWorld. The climate around this island is warm, but as one approaches the top, temperatures drop, and oxygen levels drop.
2. Black Gear City - Located at the Southeast portion of File Island. Everything here is made of metal. The ground, the trees, and the buildings are all metalic. Human characters can find refuge here in the buildings, but the city itself is not very safe as there are many mechanical digimon roaming them.
3. Green Swamps - Located South of Infinity Mountain. A large mass of swamp land, filled with a dense mist. It is very easy to get lost in these parts. This place is popular for wild amphibian and bug digimon, as well as other swamp loving digimon. There are some huts in these swamps for visitors.
4. File City - The capital of File Island, located NorthEast of File Island. This is one of the few places on File Island designed specifically for player interaction. No wild digimon wander here. The moderators have managed to make this place a safe haven for other players, putting a barrier around the city that repels the virus.
5. The North Pole - Located North of...everywhere else. This place is very cold. There are some caves and secret tunnels throughout the North Pole. The good news about this place is that one can make his own home out of the snow.
6. The Abyss - Separate from DigiWorld, but still on the same server. When a character is killed, he is sent to the Abyss where he is supposed to be booted out of the game. But since the virus has infected the server, players who end up here just float in an infinite and dark emptiness, void of any awareness. If one could somehow regain consciousness, then he could attempt to find a way out.
7. Beta World - An area created by the hacker, separated from the rest of the DigiWorld. The area is made up of green lines making up the border of the walls and items inside.
I encourage other players to make up their own areas both on File Island and off it.
After spending all day on this page, I haven't had any time to make my character yet. But you don't have to wait on me. Just give a description of your character's profile on the game.
