  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi there,

What degree are you interested in?

If you already have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, you can earn a master's degree, otherwise you can start with a bachelor's first. :) Another option is earning a certificate or diploma; the cost is often much lower and requirements not as demanding, but won't help you earn other degrees later if that's your intent.

A good general site to find online/distance Christian schools is:
http://www.bakersguide.com/
Though not all the schools they list are accredited and/or thought of as being reputable.

Keep in mind that if you're just getting a degree for personal interest (ie to learn) it doesn't matter whether the school is accredited or not. But if you're also getting it to help future employment or ministry opportunities, you'll want a school that's either regionally accredited or accredited by one of the three North American Christian accreditors: ATS, ABHE, or TRACS. (If the school is outside North America, it becomes more complicated to know whether it's accredited or not.) Just because a school claims it's accredited it may not really be; there's plenty of illegitimate "accrediting institutions")
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unrecognized_accreditation_associations_of_higher_learning

Hope that's all not too much info :) If you have other specific q'ns I'd be happy to try to help!

Born Sinner: My girlfriend and her father both study through Liberty University. That was the late Jerry Falwell's school. They have some well published and respected people teaching there: Ergun Caner, Elmer Towns, etc. You can check out the videos of some of their sermons on their website, too. www.liberty.edu.
