Online Gaming: PC vs. Console

PC does have the easiest way to play a game online. and there is more online games for pc. console gaming is really great because you just pop in the cd click online and your playing.

I think PC typically has games that I enjoy more. I kinda regret getting GTA 3 on PS2 instead of waiting for it to come out on PC, since you can import more stuff into the computer version.

I'm kind of in between PC and console. I like what you can do with PC games. But consoles are nice cause you just throw in the disk and go. You don't ahve to worry about drivers, old sound cards, and video cards. Right now my XBOX has better video than my PC. I can't drop the cash to upgrade right now.

PC, if you got the money, knowledge, and patience.

I think that xbox has the right idea on what to do. Voice chat is a must, if it is going to be online, were pc has voice, but I don't think that the majority have it.

PC is no doubt, hands down the winner of this topic. Statistically PC blows console online gaming out of the water. Personally, I still prefer PC online gaming.

PC gaming is WAY better than console. Technically speaking, an xbox is just a glorified PC that can't be upgraded. But my PC, now that's a whole different story there. Like when I get tired of GEForce4 video, I can get a GEForce5, etc. Good luck on the console. You have to wait for the next major version (ie., PS2)

I think my brother spent 600 dollars on his latest graphics card. He spent somewhere around 2 to 4 thousand on his computer. With all of the upgrades and fried parts that had to be replaced.
Must be nice to have that kind of money to blow.

Xbox is nice and cheap. Graphics aren't top notch, but more than adequate.

My brother was amazed that the PC games weren't all that good. Alot of pain in but problems. He loves it, don't get me wrong, but he expected more.

Yeah I have everything. It sounds like your brother needs to shop better. Wow!! That's a lot of money. I have a PC in almost every room and it would cost me a fortune if I spent that much. Don't get me wrong, I love my xbox, but I am also aware that it is a dead horse. It won't ever evolve whereas the PC (which I do more than play games with btw) can grow with changing times. Difference of opinion I guess. *shrug*

It certianly is not a dead horse. In a few more years, I shell out 2 or 3 hundred more dollars and I am set for another 4 or 5 years.

Besides a few games like the soon Half Life 2, the games don't really look or act much better, than xbox. We have, or can get almost every single game you get on pc, even Half Life 2 is coming to xbox.

Is the PC "way" better? Yes considering the internet and many different programs, but we are talking about gameing, and the bottom line is the xbox is much cheaper. You work on computers and have all the ins and outs, you are not taking that into consideration.The average Joe, doesn't know anything about computers, so this costs alot more money for them.
My brother trys to buy the latest, top of the line stuff for his PC. It was clocked at 3.3 gigs before this new graphics card, or what ever it is.
He has 7 fans cut into the tower.

So for the money, and the well designed way xbox is running live, with a mandatory voice feature on every game, with every user access to the voice. Plus all the options that are being added to this so called "dead horse" the system is a rock solid buy.
Less headaches, no bugs, better online design.

hmm... I heard the Gamecube is better... but I think the Xbox just has better games.

PC is #1 no doubt about it, in online gaming. Of course you gotta pay for a higher end pc, but when you have that, the possibilities are endless. There are more online games for PC then consoles will ever have. There's more people playing online than consoles as well.

I have PS2 with online network adapter, and it's fun to play, but is nothing compared to PC.

I'd say PC. I play Everquest, currently I have a lvl 57 Gnome Wizard (Gnome Powah!!).

PC because it is MUCH easier to work with it, MANY more games...GREAT history...plus multi-tasking :-D
