  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Freestyle! Has anyone played that? It's sort of like NBA Street, but strictly online (I think). It's on PC.

No I have not heard of that one. Is that an mmo or an online matchup type game? Is that a sports game?

I've been playing KO for a couple weeks now, I found that one from this thread I think. Seems like a pretty good mmo! My char is only lvl 21 so no PvP yet but I'm looking fwd to some castle siege some day lol. It's a bit of a grind to get there but being a freeB game it's not too bad. I don't have a state of the art game rig so the cruddy 3D graphics run pretty good on this thing.

Just broke down and got the Sony station pass today to break in a new credit card I just got :holy: . I'm patching SWG:JTLS as I write this :D and plan on patching EQ and EQII which I have and then picking up PlanetSide later. There are 3 more Sony games that I can run off the same account making 7 mmorpg's I can play for about $21 a month. Sounds like a GREAT deal to me! EQII seems a bit silly but SWG and EQ with PS should be pretty fun. Anyone else on Station Pass? I just hope they didn't delete my old chars from these games :p so many hours of life better spent invested in these games.

I've played sooo many mmo's over the years. I set up a new website last night that I'll be uploading all my archived mmo screen shots of these games I've played. My profile home page link here has a blog site I just set up last week, perhapse I'll put a link to my personal game site when I get some of my many mmo screen shots up on the subdomain game site I'm working on. I did the site with Xoops and the XoopsGallery module so it should look pretty good.

Mmo's are pretty fun though, I've had a lot of fun with them and have had opportunities to share the gospel of Christ through them as well :)

No comment...

I'm guessing that Freestyle is Korean-only.

World of Warcraft if free here, if I play in a Korean server. Another popular MMORPG is Archlord. It's only Korean, so I'm guessing that I'm the only one here that's seen it. It looks about the same as anyone online RPG.

huh? did I miss something here?? That Black Belt up above is Korean so gimme a break, Bro :D (SERIOUS years of combat training for it) Korea is by far my fav Asia country. Anyhoot... so what the heck is this game you are raving bout? (did not google it yet) hrm... rusty on the korean diolect though, but no worries, a game is a game in most lands even in Korea though they are by far a bunch of MMO addicts (Lineage comes to mind :p ).

Heyyy!!!! My SWG chars were still there, I"M SOOO HAPPY!!!! they deleted a bunch of account chars ya know. Had nearly 6 months into this account (2 Chars) and I'm so incredibly glad they are still there I'm taking over the SWG Christian guild on Sunrunner it looks like (used to be MoG). Now I'm patching my oooooold EQ game. I also got my hands on Infantry, Tanarus and Cosmic Rift (never plaid those) and am updating those next. I still need to get my hands on Planet Side.

It's all about WoW. I swear, if I fail my first year of Uni, I know exactly what to blame! :D
Yeahhhhh but WoW is new and over hyped by far. I've been hearing people saying that they are getting tired of it already. I plaid one MMO or 3 years and another for almost 6 years so I know what it means for an MMO to really have some real weight in content. What can I say about WoW at this point? Off the bat it has been a cult came (like a cult movie) people are just too caught up in Blizzard games me thinks. Diablo bites so... I need to see some real content with WoW and it's just too early to tell. Rah Rah Blizzardfanboys I guess, not sure yet.

I see what you're saying. One of things that disappointed me most about WoW was an almost complete absence of any sort of team-play, unlike the other MMO that I play, FFXI. It's only now that I'm at a half-decent levels that I'm getting party invites, etc. but 90% of these are from lower levels needing help with Quest X because they're 'tards.
Ah well... It's still fun at the moment.

한국? Why is it your favorite Asian country by far? Have you ever been here?

Not that I mean to badmouth where I live (actually, I don't really care), but Japan is waaaay more cool. Except for the part about being expensive.

You pay for the best, right?

I play WoW (far much more than I should) on a US server (Skullcrusher)

Those who said it gets boring quickly, yes it does. But it has a certain charm. I don't know what it is, but it makes the game so fun. I can say these things since I've been level 60 for about 3 months now (hehe) and thus was one of the first to get the good gear with high end groups.

I don't play it as much as I used too, as some people play that game 24/7 (which is why they get bored so quickly) but I really should still cut down on it (though with the Honour system coming out, that's going to be incredibly hard hehe).

I've played EQ, DAoC, Horizons, EQ2, WoW, and now CoH. They are fun but too much of a grind. I'm enjoying CoH as it is much easier to step away from. EQ and the likes tend to be geared towards the big group encounters that take hours to complete. Just too much of my time invested to play those anymore. But as some have said I have been able to witness and counsel others in the game and because of the game.

CoH is great but you'll find out that at higher lvls it's a grind too. First 20 lvls are great though, and all the TF's are great fun until higher lvl's when they can take many many hours (days) to complete; just as long as EQ raids. Watch the nerfing though, they love to nerf in that game, ask any vet blaster. When I left it was better called City of Scrappers. Ill/Rad controllers still rock though, I'm sure.
