  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So currently I have cox internet service and I am kind of getting fed up with them raising the prices and then if I do change I would have to change my email too. I usually only use my email during the week from work so I use the web mail. I just set up an account with Outlook.com. I wanted to use Gmail but someone is already using every username I try. My son uses Gmail. I'm not familiar with either but I am curious for other imput.

Do any of you use an online email service such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or whatever? Pros? Cons? I have a yahoo account, but I never use it and I'm not too fond of yahoo. My boss has an account and we tried to use it when he went overseas and it would not send the file with any attachments and it would take days before coming back to me as undeliverable, so yahoo is my junk account that I never check. Thoughts?

I use Outlook. It was Hotmail way back in 2001 when I set the account up, it's been through Windows LIVE and now Outlook with the same address, it is my main workhorse these days.

I also have two AT&T/Yahoo accounts that I do nothing with because I don't trust AT&T not to give my username/account to somebody else (they did it before, they might do it again) and I have an email at MyOpera. That last one will die on March 1st when Opera ASA closes MyOpera, so-- I never did trust that email account so it won't be missed.

It did cause me to have to do something about the blog I have there, the choice is to let that one go and start new at Wordpress.com (See my contact info for further details.)

I had a GMail account a few years back, can't say I was all that impressed but then that's just me. Today getting a GMail account may mean having to get a Google+ account as well, they're trying to force everybody who uses a Google site to use that thing and few people actually like it. It caused a major fuss when Google tried to force the users of You-Tube to use Google+ to leave comments, the broo=haha is still not over and many people are resorting to Reddit as a work-around.

I use Hotmail, which they converted to Outlook. It works fine. I also have a Gmail account, although I am not thrilled with the Google empire. If you own an Android tablet, then Google is unavoidable. I can access my e-mail through a Web interface on a PC, through e-mail apps on my tablet, and through apps on my smart phone. I haven't had any problems with Hotmail/Outlook or Gmail, although I haven't tried every feature. I have also found Dropbox to be a good way to share files, rather than e-mailing them.

I have an aol account and had it for years. Lately something changed and I have been getting a lot of spams but I don't know if that is aol's fault or if I did something to drop the level of my security filtering. My school email .edu account is managed by gmail...and I have a personal gmail account that I only use when I don't want to give out my primary one. My mom uses gmail and has been happy with it. My uncle is a high level electrical engineer and recommended it to my mom. His son (my cousin) works as an computer engineer for google and they both use gmail accounts.

signed up with Outlook. But since I haven't got rid of my internet, it looks like I just added an email to my frustration. I aso have a Windows live and a yahoo but I never use those. My son said Outlook is the more professional one and he did mention about having to get a google plus account too. I really loathe having things forced on me geez
