Andreas, thank you for posting this! It has several things I've been looking for but have been unable to find, particularly a simple three-bar cross. Now, if I can just "find" the money to buy it....
Momzilla, there's a store called Holoviak's Church Supply (http://holoviak.com/) that sells a variety of gift items online for relatively reasonable prices, including cross jewelry. That's where I got my baptismal cross (#C-10SGO).

I was extremely happy with my cross--many people compliment me on it, and they ask me where I got it. I love Holoviak's. :)

Since you are looking for a simple cross, I think you will like #C-14ASGO--it's sterling silver with a gold overlay (which means it looks gold, but is much less expensive than buying one that is solid gold throughout).

Whatever cross you get, remember what it is made out of, inside and out, so that you can tell the jeweler if you ever need to have it cleaned.

that is odd...on the right side of the pangoti (narthax) where i went to kiss the icons the one one the left was a single man who wasnt Jesus. He is always there and the Icon is made of gold and silver. What is it then?
I also buy stuff from http://www.religiousmall.com/ . but some of their stuff is not Orthodox. And an Icon of the Father is not Orthodox.

I buy my stuff from religiousmall.com. I recently bought a prayer bracelet, an icon of the trinity, and a censor. I am looking to buy a cross like the priest has but they are like $600 so ill have to save for like a year.

BTW-anyone know where to buy an icon of The Father?
Those crosses are for priests, not laypeople.

Also, icons depicting the Father as a human are not Orthodox. They contradict Nicaea II's arguments in favor of icons of Christ being an affirmation of the Incarnation. No one has seen the Father.

There are "two men and a dove" icons of the Trinity but those aren't really Orthodox either. There is a Holy Trinity church in my city with such an icon on its iconostasis, but it was done many years ago and I believe the current priest is very anxious to replace it! :)
