One more prayer request

I've been talking with my friends on FishEaters about my scrupulosity, and they have suggested that I work on developing a filial fear of the Lord. I have been working a bit on developing a filial fear of the Lord, but not as much as I should. I would like prayers now, to develop a filial fear of the Lord.

You either fear the Lord your God or you don't. Doesn't need a fancy name or deep prayers imo. If you love him and believe in him, you have that healthy fear.

Fear of the Lord I understand to be awe and reverence, and like how a son might respect his father who is a king. How do you see it?

There are two types of fear of the Lord: Servile fear and filial fear.

Servile fear is the fear of God's power and wrath, it's acceptable, but not ideal, and in a case of scrupulous person like me, it can hinder one's spiritual life.

Filial fear is the fear of offending God because He is all good and worthy of all our love, it's the fear that a son would have of offending or disappointing a father he loves and admires. Filial fear is ideal, and what all should strive for.

It's good that you recognize this scrupulosity problem of yours. Some people have no scruples at all, an opposite problem. I'm praying for you that it works out for you.
