  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Preaching the death, burial and resurrection as the means by which we are saved was preached FIRST by Paul.

Peter went to ONE gentile to usher in Pauls ministry and to show there was a CHANGE afoot. He never went to another, in fact , Christ told them ALL (the twelve) to go to "NONE BUT THE JEWS ONLY"...so...as you can see this is erroneous information.

By the way, Cornelius was saved according to the ONLY gospel in town...the KINGDOM gospel. Peter wasnt commissioned to preach to the gentiles, and HE KNEW IT! Why do you think he argued with God when God told him he was sending him to ONE gentiles home?????? THINK THINK

Heres another thing to note:

Salvation being available to gentiles was NEVER a mystery. All they had to do was to come thru ISRAEL and be proselytes. However, they were saved under the KINGDOM gospel and followed KINGDOM RULES...as it was a LAW program and Jewish all the way.
You are in Scriptural error, eph3nine,
Peter saw a vision with "all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air".
In the book of Enoch [which Peter was very familiar with, as he quotes from it] all the nations -the Gentiles- are represented in the parables as "four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air".

Peter understood the symbolism of the Gentiles being saved by the same Gospel as the Jews, from that vision and the subsequent happenings, as he said at the council in Jerusalem in Acts 15, and the vision was repeatd three times and then there were three men at the door, Gentiles, and when Peter went with them.

Then at Cornelius house there were many Gentiles
come together to hear Peter!

Peter's Vision
9 The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. 10 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance 11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. 12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
14 But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean."
15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common." 16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

Peter Meets Cornelius
24 And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man." 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28 Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

I have previously pointed out to you that the Apostles and disciples went everywhere preaching the Gospel, and that Peter and John went to the Samaritan villages, which are "Gentile" villages, according to the Samaritans who have a website about themselves [only about 400 of them left, now, they say].

Peter had to have a bit of extra help to go with Cornelius' men, however: but by the time the Holy Spirit got through with him, He understood the message, as he testified in Acts 15.

Jesus called the Samaritan "a stranger", in the healing of the Lepers.
Paul also said we Gentiles were aliens to the commonwealth of Israel.

Acts 8
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
...
25 So when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

Before Paul!

Mat 10:5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into [any] city of the Samaritans enter ye not:Mat 10:6
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Jhn 4:40
So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.Jhn 4:41
And many more believed because of his own word;

Before Paul!
This destroys the false teaching of the Mid Acts Dispensationalists.
