  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Once there was a man who dared God to speak.
"Burn the bush like You did for Moses, God, and I will follow.
Collapse the walls like You did for Joshua, God, and I will fight.
Still the waves like You did on Galilee, God, and I will listen."
And so the man sat by a bush, near a wall and close to the sea, and waited for God to speak.
And God heard the man, so He answered.
He sent fire, not for a bush, but for a church.
He brought down a wall, not of brick, but of sin.
He stilled a storm, not of the sea, but of a soul.
And God waited for the man to respond.
and He waited . . .
and He waited.
But because the man was looking at bushes, not hearts; bricks and not lives; seas and not souls, he decided that God had done nothing.
Finally, he looked to God and asked, "Have You lost Your power?"
And, in disbelief, God looked at him and said, "Have you lost your hearing?!"

:amen: - we also need to remember that we shouldn't focus on one point and expect God to do something miraculous there - He's working His miracles everywhere, everyday.
Smile and God Bless,
Steffi

That was a nice post. We sometimes ask God to prove himself to us. But the fact is He doesn't have to prove anything to us because He is God plus He has already proven his work to us. Look at the sea and the mountains, better yet look at yourself and you have your proof of God.:) :)
