I am souther baptist who does not believe in osas in the way that it is taught by the denomination. Once a person is saved they will be eternally saved and salvation is sealed and complete "in Christ." Salvation belongs to the Lord to give to who He will and He wills to give it to whosoever will walk in the confidence of His promise. Salvation is not about believing in what Christ did for the remission of sin but having confidnece in what He did by trusting in it by walking according to what you say you believe. Salvation is found "in Christ" and those found "in Christ" will receive salvation. Salvation is not lost inspite of your faith but for lack of faith. Faith endures or it is not faith for faith is in things not seen and if we allow the circumstances of life to determine our actions, it reveals where our faith lies.
Having come to this truth through an open mind for God to show me truth, I am baffled as to why some are so offended by a faith that demands holy living, responsibility, and accountability. What is faith except belief in action? What is born again, but a change of heart and if a change of heart can be accomplished then is it fair to say that a person can change their heart agian? In the beginning man was a perfect being and without sin, but he changed and through the grace offered by God through Jesus we can change our hearts, but we must maintain our faith ~ that's all we have to do, just trust! Please! someone tell me what is it that is so offensive about expecting one to walk by faith? it is not to demean or weaken the power of the blood or to exalt man to any underserving level of power. please help me understand.
