Trump Appointees Targeted With Bomb Threats, Swatting
The FBI said it was "aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees."
Note that online threats agaisnt people, and false calls to the police to generate
a SWAT team response to someone's house (to annoy them), is not a tactic for
one political party, or the other.
Rather, this sort of cowardly online or impersonal threat, is becoming a characteristic
of the electronic screen generations. The general problem is that younger generations
are treating real life, as if it were a video game. And they, increasingly, cannot tell the
difference between real crime, and an entertaining action that they take in their
unreal video game reality.
This is why a president should NEVER pardon those who have engaged in crimes
that were inspired by online social media posts, or that some would call "gags" that
should not be taken seriously.
This is not a political party thing. This is a basic matter of punishing people for
engaging in criminal acts, which could have disastrous effects on the target
of their online or impersonal threats.
