  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On the way to ER

So we are back. Mom was having a combination of issues arising all at once. Her hiatal hernia that she has surgery on before has broke loose again and it’s worse. It’s pressing on organs and adding to her breathing issues. She also has asthma and they discovered she has a left bundle branch block in her heart. So they gave her a breathing treatment to loosen up the airways and medication to shut off some of the acid pumps in her stomach. In the meantime, we are waiting to be set up with an internist and a cardiologist. She is still feeling quite poorly but she is home and resting. We had quite the scare as we were getting her into the van, she went sideways but I caught her. that would have been a hard fall on the cement. Thank you all so much for the prayers. They are deeply appreciated.

With your husband's recent eye injury ...
and now, your Mom's potentially serious health issues ...
sounds like you are running a bit of a 'hospital' at your house!

May God give you the energy and strength needed for the caregiving tasks at hand ...

How is your husband's eye injury faring?
His eye is pretty much stabilized now. The two specialists are consulting to decide which plan of action to take and when.
