On the subject of FF7

I have recently done a bit of studing into FF7 (mainly becuase it seems to be the most popular one due to it being the focus of the movie that came out). In this, I have (and yes this does prove that I really over did it) studied tie ins to previous games, including music. In the FF6 (FF3 in America), does the Opera song (where Tina (Terra in America) must perform the sad skit at the Opera) sound like Aerith's theme to anyone else? The thing is, the Opera scene is such a sad themed scene, as is the story behind Aerith.

Lots of FF music sounds alike. The battle theme for FFX reminded me of FF7's, for example.

I think the same guy writes all the music (Nobuo Uematsu or something ruther), so it's bound to sound a little alike. Kinda like Danny Elfman; the Batman theme resembles the Spiderman theme.

All i know is Aerith was my 2nd favorite character and i tried everyway to keep her alive.As for the music though i think they reuse it in alot of Final Fantasy's.

If you've played FF7 and FF9 you'll notice that the SHINRa 'marching theme' and the (whatever that group in FF9 was called) song they were playing in the beggingn is the exact same song.

In the FF series of games there are lots of 'tie ins' concerning characters and songs, for example in just about every game theres a guy called Cid and in most theres two guys called Biggs and Wedge. I also think its right to say in all of them there have been some form of 'airship' as well.

There were also Chocobos and up to FF7 most of them had the same 'victory battle' fanfare. I also read on some website that each FF game had a MOAI statue image hidden throughout the game but they are really hard to notice.
