• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Me too. I told him we were having a party in his thread ^_^

Hope that you did not tell him about all the surprises waiting for him! But since it is party time, we need the ultimate party song of all time!

Louie Louie

LOL--can anyone understand the words? Hint-First 2 lines:

A fine little girl, she waits for me;
Me catch a ship across the sea;

How about a little Wooly Bully ^_^

Great song Dawn!! Here is another by the same group--Sam The Sham and the Pharoahs

Little Red Riding Hood

Back in 1967, I had the chance to attend a concert of one of Dick Clark's Cavalcade of Stars. One of the acts was this group. Others on the same bill were Bobby Hebb, Jimmy Clanton, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, and the headline group was the Yardbirds!

Of course. But he was on crutches! He had had a motorcycle accident a few days before.
Every time I hear that song I think of one of our troopers. I had attended one of the Troop's Christmas party's and one of them was a bit on the inebriated side and got up on a table and sang that song while dancing (thank goodness he kept his clothes on ^_^).
