It's probably assigned.

I thought that Orchard movie was horrible, made no sense at all. And a horror movie from the point of view of a tree? What?? She deserves to go home.
I know. Right?!?
You couldn't understand anything being "said".
The trees didn't fight back.
Every moment I expected something to happen to the man, but nothing happened to the man.
He took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to investigate the tree before he finally started sawing.

The best parts were the first 10 seconds and the last 5 seconds.

Will - Glass Eye
Jason - Blood Born
Zach - Sunshine Girl
Mateen - Lost
Jessica - The Orchard

Will- Glass Eye - good movie, very imaginative story line, i.e. being able to see out of your glass eye even after it has fallen out of your head and is rolling around on the floor, or inside your doggy's tummy. Dragged out some parts too much.

Will's last movie was Lucky Penny which was also well written and executed. It was a Top 3 movie.

Jason - Blood Born - I voted for Jason. I liked the writing and the directing was good, too. The judges spent more time hung up on his previous comments and calling him a hypocrite than on actually giving him a constructive critique. Out of all the films, his made the most sense to me.
The only thing is when the answering machine was playing, Jason should have made sure we could clearly hear his friend warning him that he should watch his back because somebody he owed money to was looking for him. It wasn't loud and clear enough.
It had a tragic ending.

Will's previous film was Ghetta Rhoom which was a Top 3 film, but also controversial because it appeared to make fun of mentally handicapped people when in fact he meant the guy to just be a regular nerd.

Zach - Sunshine Girl - I mean it's Zach. How can I not like it? But I didn't get it! I thought the little girl was afraid of the dark under her bed. I thought she grabbed the sun and brought it in so that she could light up the underneath of her bed and get her stuff out. But instead she played with the sun, dropped it, and it rolled under the bed. The fantasy part of it was imaginative, but the story didn't make sense to me. Why did she get the sun?? And how does that relate to the underneath of her bed. Too confusing.

Zach's other film was Danger Zone about the safest lab in the country. That was a Top 3 movie, too, in the first round.

Mateen - Lost - a sad story about a guy who lost a girl, wanted to marry her, but it was too late. They said he shot it too close in, like a soap opera. The closeness didn't bother me. The dialog was interesting. I liked it.

Mateen's previous film was Soft, the story about a guy whose friends tell him he's too soft. To prove them wrong he mugs an old lady who turns out to be his grandmother and who sends him flying with a right hook.

Jessica - The Orchard - What?! That made sense to somebody?! That was the most excruciatingly boring stupid thing I've ever seen!

Her last movie was To Screw in a Light Bulb which was also confusing.

I hope she goes home.

I feel pretty much the same.

My favorites were glass eye, blood borne and Sunshine girl

Lost was ok

The Orchard was ....

They all kept saying they didn't know what the moral was to Blood Born. I didn't get that at all, I got the moral right away: Be careful how you live your life, what you do to yourself, because you might be the person destined to save millions of people's lives, and if you screw that up.... what a waste.

I don't know why they were so hung up on that. Personally, I think they just don't like him, and haven't since the Ghetta Room incident.

If that's why then that's sad.

I think they got confused because in the pre-film interview he mentioned he's a Christian
and they were all hung up on that,
and what that had to do with the story-
which was nothing really.
He was making a general statement about himself.

Because they were all old poops,
they expect a Christian to have a moral to the story.
Why they didn't get it-
since it was so obvious-
is beyond me.

I voted for him 50 times. :D

Jess (The Orchard) went home.

Shalini - Doctor-In-Law
- I liked it a lot. we laughed out loud all the way through. She's got a good eye.
Adam - Discovering the Wheels - It was good, but I think the lack of dialog hurt it. You can have too much of watching cave men swarming over a car. The concept was funny, with the remote car zapper.
Will - Nerve Endings - I don't think squirting blood is funny. It was a little funny to watch him treat the guy like a puppet. The slap at the end was great.
Hillary - Under the Gun - Finally something decent. Who'd ever think of robbing a sperm bank? Cute concept.
David - How To Have A Girl - Wasn't funny. I guess I can understand how someone would think that story line would be funny, but it must be difficult to execute just right. Another low dialog film.
Zach - Die Hardly Working - Like they said, everyone can relate to this movie. Not being a boy myself, but having sons, I could relate to it. He used familiar ideas. We all knew what weapons they were using each step of the way. It was cute and funny.

I voted for Zach and Shalini.

Next week: 6 horror films by
Andrew, Jason, Kenny, Mateen, Sam, Shira-Lee.

Based on previous offerings,
Jason (Blood Born) and Kenny (Edge on the End)
will probably do best with Horror,
and maybe Andrew (Spaced Out).

Too bad Phil Hawkins couldn't participate.

I didn't like Hillary's film at all. The whole time, I was like "Why are they robbing it? Why can't they just walk in and do it like everyone else does?" If they'd had some kind of set-up about how expensive it was or something, it would have made more sense. As it was, I found it distracting and unfunny.

Hated the cavemen one and How to Have a Girl too.

Zach and Will should be the top two. They are both consistently so good.

I didn't think of that. I guess I didn't wonder why they were robbing it. I think I just assumed it must have been a money issue, but you're right, she could have explained that part better.

How did the stunt man hit a tree with the Mustang?!

Shalini - Doctor-In-Law - I thought it was pretty funny.
Adam - Discovering the Wheels -cute.

Will - Nerve Endings - a bit gross with the spurting blood but it was pretty funny too.

Hillary - Under the Gun - I thought it was funny but not hilarious.

David - How To Have A Girl -hmm.. not very creative. All it was about was a guy and a girl rolling around in bed and on the floor. Not funny. Not sexy.

Zach - Die Hardly Working - I really enjoyed this one. Cool concept and a really fun film.

Loved Zach's film....we really laughed so much and it was SO clever. The nerdy, older guy getting the beautiful girl was just an added bonus. I think Zach will continue to go really far.

Hilary's with the spermbank actually grossed me out a bit. My husband, son and I all didn't find this one funny, and were really surprised the judges loved it so much.

Doctor-in-law was clever and pretty funny.

Discovering the wheels was clever in some ways and didn't work at all for me in others...a real mixed bag with that one.

Nerve Endings...My husband was laughing SO hard, but I was really so grossed out I couldn't keep watching. Yucky!

How to have a girl....the concept was kindof clever, but yeah, it just didn't work...lots of rolling around and then....flat.

I would keep Zach for sure...he's my top vote.

I watched Kenny's movie and realized I wasn't going to be able to sleep if I watched any more of the show.
I cannot watch horror.
I am haunted by images and fears for years.
Yeah, that stupid clown from Poltergeist made me terrified of clowns and creepy looking dolls to this day, and it's been what, 25 years? :D

I've never even SEEN Psycho,
but that famous scene shows up in other places,
and I have experienced fear in the shower when I was home alone!
