Greetings Brethren
I was recently privy to one of those "behind the scenes" tours at Disneyworld in Orlando, and while listening to the speaker talk about the Nation areas at Epcot, he had an interesting factoid. When the Morrocan section was built, being that it follows an Islamic dictate that perfection can only be achieved by Allah (God), the builders were instructed to leave on minor flaw in every mosaic and painting throughout the section. This was to demonstrate man's imperfection.
It got me thinking, how would we know perfection if we saw it? Because to us as humans, perfection is relative. With our human senses, we can only create, and even measure, what we think is perfect.
Of course, there is perfection in God. And in the manifestation of God through Jesus, we see a perfect example of God's energy and thought made flesh and manifest as a human example.
But even a few humans of the time could not understand His Perfectness. King Herod, for one, a man who saw perfection in power. Or the Sadducee and the Pharisees, who saw perfection only in law/legalism. Or Pontius Pilate, who saw perfection is amassing wealth.
Sadly, we have those today who see perfection only in the illusions of power, legalism, and or wealth.
But if we look deeper to the very beauty and perfection of Jesus, we see that God IS perfect. We see that endless Lifeforce, that Esoteric Perfection made Human for a short time, to bring Life, and to bring it Abundantly. We see in Jesus a Perfect example of God's creation, and God Incarnate/
When we look to the Universe, we see endless beauty, endless wonder and something that inspires Infinite awe. We see change, as well as much we do not yet understand. But we know the God's order, amidst the seemingly chaotic universe, is at work.
So it is with life. In what seems sometimes chaotic and out of control, we look again to the perfection of the One with Whom we have already invited to guide our lives, and through Christ's Will, we see calm in the chaos and order in the confusion.
Perfection in the Universe and in Life does in fact exist, but we need to see it through the Eyes of God, the Eyes of Love, and we do this by allowing Christ to work Through us, to Guide us. We ask Jesus to see and hear for us, to be our eyes and ears to the universe, to allow His Perfect Will to guide us, to follow that which is Divine, and see that which is made perfect through His Life.
