Sitting in darkness, weighed down with heavy heart,​

cry out to the Father for his comfort to impart.​

​

In brokeness so weak, let His perfect power come down from above,​

cry out to the Lord, Trust in His unfailing love.​

​

Sing to the Lord who reigns on high,​

by His grace on broken wings fly.​

​

Let others your song hear,​

by your song of faith let Christ draw them near.​

​

Thru broken wings let His healing power be shown,​

so our awesome King of love by others can be known.​

​

Put your hope in the Lord and on the very breath of God soar.​

Put your hope in the Lord, sing praises to the one You adore.​

​

Rise up and fly on broken wings.​

Let your song of praise to the Lord ring and ring.​

That's so true! A bird with a broken wing only needs healing, and when he has been healed, he can fly higher than all those other birds! I LOVE IT!

I don't write alot of poems, but every once in a while the Lord does give me some. Sometimes they are for me, sometimes for others. On Broken Wings was for someone I know that the Lord is in the process of healing - I can't wait to see him fly and help others facing similar circumstances to his.
