  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We lost his wife a couple months back unexpectantly. (Uncle Freeman and Lucy from Ct.)

He was in his 80's and cancer got him. He is the 3rd of 12 siblings to die from cancer.

Uncle Freeman, Aunt Lucy and the whole survivinig family could use prayers.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

Couldn't have come at a worse time for us. As we box up everything we own to be ready for the movers tomorrow.

By the time we get a breather Uncle Freeman will already be in the ground.

Its at times like this that I can't help but wonder about that passage in scripture when Jesus told the apostles to follow him and let the dead bury the dead.

Not that my Uncle Freeman was agnostic like many in the rest of the family, but just in the sense that we can't make it to the funeral.

Anyway, we take solace in the fact that we can pray him into heaven by adding him to our daily prayers for the faithful departed - if need be.

Thanks again for the prayers.
