Did you imagine that various things that people hold up as gods and creator were 'religion'? I would not call them that.Science is not a religion in any stretch or form and also to do so is against forum rules.
And I 100% meant and mean blasphemy against God.

As for your statement that belief in what Jesus and the rest of the bible states as 'blasphemy' that is another theft of a word used out of context and meaning.
It is quite sane and common sense to say that some people hold some things too close to their eyes and get out of balance.Nonsensical commentary is nonsensical commentary.
If you were in the garden of Eden looking at Adam you would say that he was perhaps 35 years old. The reality would be that he was formed from the ground by God the day before. The age you or ANYONE else claimed and said was embedded would be fantasy.No-one is arguing about creation. What the argument is about is about your ridiculous claim of embedded age.
If I said that Adam (or a rock) the day after creation was a day old it would be the true date. And once again, the only person putting forward a deception is you with embedded age. And once again, I have no need nor reason to accept embedded age as anything else except as blasphemy.
The truth is that anyone calling a rock that was just created billions of years old would be wrong. That is not 'disparaging' anyone. What part of "Science is not a religion in any stretch or form and also to do so is against forum rules." did you fail to understand? If you want me to cite the rule for the forum, I'll do so.
Heck I'll even do it without asking:
Addition to the Statement of Purpose
Do not flame other views. Christianity cannot be called a myth, and science cannot be called a religion or made up. Threads started, or responses made, to simply disparage science will be considered off topic to the forum.
Now that isn't what I said in the slightest and you darn well know it.
I don't know how to look at Creation any differently than what Creation itSelf is showing about itSelf, which paints a is very different picture than what you have been saying. My advice is to look at creation differently.
I look at the creation as if it was created. That is where we need to start. The natural only philosophy does not start there. Their prime question seems to be 'how did everything make itself'?I don't know how to look at Creation any differently than what Creation itSelf is showing about itSelf, which paints a is very different picture than what you have been saying.
Sweet victoryNo, I wash my hands of this. This guys a troll and nothing else.
I can get on board for geological issues being created to appear as such. Fine, no issues there. The truth is that anyone calling a rock that was just created billions of years old would be wrong. That is not 'disparaging' anyone.
So explain how the bible when talking about the beginning as it often does (and as Jesus referred to also) is misusing the things said in Scripture? Is it blasphemy to misuse the things that Jesus said to disparage the faith of other Christians?
I think fossils are just remains of dead creatures.I can get on board for geological issues being created to appear as such. Fine, no issues there.
But what I struggle with is fossilized animals and plants. These animals lived, or appear to have lived, they lived lives and did what they did.....separate from other life forms. From what God has revealed in the fossil record we can see that dinosaurs didn't live with tigers. Tigers didn't feast on dinosaurs. From what God has revealed in the fossil record bull African bush elephants didn't fight off packs of Utah raptors. Florida seems to have been covered an uncovered from water, hosting Pleistocene and Eocene life, but not Mesozoic life.
In your view, did God also create these fossil creatures as they are, just fossils that never lived on Earth, and if so - why?
I might add that we also include science and whatever man teaches and etc. Then we put it all in perspective. If there is ever a difference in claims, we accept Scripture as the authority and correct.Like a little child start by pretending all we have to go by is YHVH'S WORD, to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to Him.
Then , start growing up a little at a time, and learn that all we have to go by is YHVH'S WORD, to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to Him.
Everything , all, as YHVH Permits, by faith in Jesus, trusting Him, counting on Him , resting IN HIM.
I look at Creation as it is showing of itSelf about itSelf. That's the base line.I look at the creation as if it was created. That is where we need to start. The natural only philosophy does not start there. Their prime question seems to be 'how did everything make itself'?
They are most certainly deadI think fossils are just remains of dead creatures.
Now if those remains were dated wrong, maybe your issue would disappear
When you think that it shows you something different than what God said, you need to bring your ideas into line and adjust accordinglyI look at Creation as it is showing of itSelf about itSelf. That's the base line.
The issue is who do we believe, God or man.No need of mental concepts, imagination, theology, philosophy, religious beliefs or anything like that. The Earth is telling a very different story about itSelf than the one your telling. Who do I believe? The Earth or you? The Earth of course. That's a no brainier.
I have no problem there. I just consider the dates are very very wrong. Just like the OP. People dated that newly created rock very very wrongThey are most certainly dead
I accept that they could be dated wrong, but a wrong date - even millions of year off - doesn't allow me to square what God had revealed in his observable record of creation with anything approaching 6,000 years old.
When the Earth itSelf is directly showing us something very different than what the Creation story of an ancient middle-eastern tribe of desert dwellers believed, I'll go with what the Earth, as Created by God, is showing us every time. When you think that it shows you something different than what God said, you need to bring your ideas into line and adjust accordingly
I believe what the Earth itSelf is showing us. It is God's Creation after all. No deception required, just plain up front in our face the way things are.The issue is who do we believe, God or man.
A tea leaf doesn't really show us anything or a crystal ball. When people use complicated natural only methods to interpret all that they see in nature, that is not the world showing them anything. That is them imposing a view and set of principles and beliefs onto the world. When the Earth itSelf is directly showing us something very different than what the Creation story of an ancient middle-eastern tribe of desert dwellers believed, I'll go with what the Earth, as Created by God, is showing us every time.
