After all the Universe is 15 billion years old while the Earth is only a mere 4.5 billion. That sounds new to me.

Of course they wouldn't be mouldy. Mould can't grow in outer space - everyone knows that. Mould spores are scared of space beetles, and so they don't leave the earth. Duh!

They might be a little bit stale, though...
