Old Palms

Hey everyone -

I have old palms from last Palm Sunday. I heard you are supposed to burn them or give them to be burned for the next Ash Wednesday. Is this true? If so, how do you burn them, or where?

Good question. I've got a load of old palms that I can never remember to take back, so I've started putting them in a vase. I've got dried roses in there with them. It looks rather pretty actually. Just call the Parish office and ask about bringing in or disposing of old palms. They'll tell you.

You can usually take them to the parish, and they'll burn them for ashes on Ash Wed. You just shouldn't throw them in the trash, as they've been blessed.
