In other words, you feel like a big Turkey being eyed on slaughter day before Thanksgiving?alright, I regularly go to church, despite being a pagan because it is a tradition for me to go with my grandparents, I sing hymns, I rise and I sit, and listen intently to the sermon. I never make any trouble for anybody, even going out of the way to hide my small pentacle necklace beneath my suit. but this always happens...

me
they preach and preach to me alone, often times calling me into a back room, and I dare say even accosting me on my way out of the building, by physically grabbing my arm and reading passages from the Bible. I mean what in the name of Thanatos do they think they are doing?
Hey, just know that most of them probly mean well - and it's love that motivates them to try to reach you becuz they care about your soul (that's comes from a Christian worldview). If you look at them in that light, it mite help you as you're there for your grandparents.
You didn't mention what denom. of church they are??? I'm curious about that, it mite help to know
But my personal feeling on the "hard sell" type of witnessing is that it doesn't work and I tend to dislike it becuz it pushes people away.
One reason I know that is that I was a very rebellious girl and was forced by my Baptist parents to go to church 3 times per week - and I got witnessed AT plenty.
Some Christians get caught up in thinking that "THEY" save people by their words & witnessing & actions.... instead, they should spending more time praying for that person & letting God do the work in them.
If they'll be reached spiritually, then they'll seek God when they're ready and inquisitive. God has to Draw us to Him first.
Glad you do that for your grandparents; shows some integrity
