Sweet! anywhere near Muskingum college?? thats where I am applying next year! I love cambridge, Zanesville, and of coarse, New Concord.

Well isn't that a coincidence...I just graduated from Muskingum College in December!

I am sure you will love it there if you go - I had a great time there, the professors were awesome, great class sizes, and I learned so much! If you have any questions about Muskingum, let me know and I'll try to answer them for you :D

Neat!

check it out check it out check it out check it out check it out (got that from my dudes too, besides my listening to dmb.) (do you know homestarrunner? lol) anyway, check this link out for cicadas. It should be in your newspaper...Ohio is 'sposed to get "hit" this week with the locust-like 17-year bug! http://www.desertusa.com/mag98/july/papr/du_cicada.html
oh, and the summer snow....it's thistle seeds. God gave 'em the white fuzzies so they could fly and find another place to take root and grow. Today, at work, I left my sunroof open and my windows part way down to keep the car cool and my car got FULL of them!! You should have seen me trying to drive with all that stuff flyin' around in the car with me. People prolly thought I was a dufus! lol :D

Ok, since I've succeeded in making you laugh once, check this out....I was introduced to Dave music by my son who is almost obsessed with him. He tries to play all the songs and sing along and has all the cds and went to see him a few times and....yadda yadda yadda...you get the picture. Son and I were on the way to Columbus, 1 1/2 to 2 hr drive, and we're listening to Live From Folsom Field Colorado. I loved some of the songs simply because of the emotion. I didn't realize there were some lyrics that aren't what a parent would want for their kid to hear over and over every day. Well, big-eyed fish on that cd was a dead give away! I liked the sound of the space between and one day, I was thinking I needed to start a group for young Christian kids who have had a mountaintop experience with church and then have to go back in to the real world and function. I thought it would be cool to call it the space between, coz it helped them be a Christian and a normal person. Well, then I saw on the dave website youcan see lyrics....the space between lyrics would never apply to a Christian youth group!! :( OH well, I'm not supposed to get it, I guess. N E way....I listen to Contemporary Christian (KLOVE or local station) so I'm outta touch. I can't believe some of the stuff that's out there....but this is an Ohio thread, eh? Here's some Ohio: Casting Crowns is playing tonight in Dayton, about forty minutes from here. (couldn't go) and Michael Dub is playing in Cincy soon...the only Ohio stop (Kings Island) and Spirit Song is at Kings Island too and that is so awesome, so many great bands. So, here's to the big Buckeye state! Hugz, Singz4Him

haha. Tell your son that he is awsome. I love Dave's music. Though I cannot say I am obssessed. I love the music more than the lyrics. Dave does have some songs with christian themes. one called "the maker"

" I could not see, for the fog in my eyes.
I could not feel, for the fear in my life
and from across the great divide, in the distance I saw light
John Baptist, walking to me, with the maker."

^it is really beautiful, but I do not think it is on an album...maybe a live one. Not a great name for a Christian group though. hehe. I havent heard of of the bands you listed. Dave is playing in Columbus this summer. You should go! haha. Im going to the show in Cleveland. can't wait!
