This forum isn't complete without a thread of this topic! So let's hear from all the Canuck fans!

So the Canucks are in second place...too bad for their loss against Boston in OT tonight. But there's still lots of time to catch up isn't there?! We'll make it this year!!!!

That rookie dude, Jason King is doing really good. 15 points already right?! He's got good potential.

Is it just me, or does Matt Cooke look a bit like Orlando Bloom (Legolas from LOTR and Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean)? Not that I'm one of those people who drool over OB, but I think he looks a bit like him with his helmet on.

GO Canucks!!

Are you guys SURE you don't want Pat Quinn back :prayer:

Also, how 'bout a trade between my Leaf's and the 'nucks -

From Toronto - Mats Sundin, Darcy Tucker, Rick Jackman
From Vanc - Ed Jovo, Mattias Ohlund

C'mon, that's a fair trade !!!

I'm so excited about rookie Jason King, he's a lot of fun to watch. I LOVE the name that he and the Sedins have been given- "The Mattress Line- two twins and a King" brilliant!

I'm visiting my brother in Ottawa this week and we're going to the Corel Centre on Thursday to watch the Canucks give the Senators a pounding. Look for us, we'll be cheering for the canucks and holding up a sign that says "If God wanted the Senators to win, they wouldn't have lost to the Devils".

Luckily it's only Ottawa, I think we'll escape without bodily harm.

My favourite Nuck - Markus. Way back in the Keenan days, I was outside GM place one night when Markus drove up in his SUV just minutes before the game. (Drove up to spend another night warming the bench). I thought at that point he was the coolest thing ever, and became an instant fan.

And I was SO RIGHT! Who knew?

GO NUCKS!!!!

PS - Hadn't thought of it, but the Matt Cooke/Orlando Bloom comparison is perfect!

Like I said in another thread, I'm a transplanted Cape Bretoner but was raised and educated in Brantford, the home of the Great One (not Jesus the Great One) Wayne Gretzky. Played hockey for 15 years, rooted for the Toronto Maple Leafs all my life through thick and thin, mostly thin. EVEN through the Ballard years.
I've been in B.C for 12 years and FOR my first 10 years I continued to stand by the Leafs.

FINALLY I saw the LIGHT. And it was shaped like an Orca whale.
Now I'm more of a Canucks fan than I EVER was a Maple Leafs fan. Thank you LORD!!!!!!!!!
Peace be with you Maple Leafs.
Rest in peace Leaf fans.

LONG LIVE THE CANUCKS!!!!

FOREVER AND EVER

AMEN

You "seen the light" ??? Remember what Scripture says about Satan transforming himself into an angel of light !;)

Hey, i was a seasons ticket holder in the mid/late 80's for the Leafs when they finished one season with about 50 points !! Still, i'm a Leaf fan thru and thru and could never cheer for another team - at least not wholeheartedly. We Leaf fans are the most loyal in ALL of sports - at least we aren't turncoats :p

Go ahead then and cheer on the 'nucks - the Leafs will just have to kick butt the next time they face them just to show you - just like they did twice so far this season !!

Long live the LEAFS and success for all loyal LEAF fans !!!

Athanasian Creed, that was very clever; how should I respond? Well, you called me a turncoat, and that's true, but not only did I turn on the Leafs, but I turned the entire province that I once called home. The reasons I left were many. Do you have to use a gas mask yet when you leave the house? Still drinking from that polluted swamp called Lake Ontario? Acid rain ruin your car's paint job yet? How's Bruce Nuclear? Anyone glowing? Still sending your garbage to Detroit for lack of ROOM in T.O.? :p

I've lived out here for 12 years now and this is my home. I live right on the ocean of the Sunshine Coast (even SOUNDS pretty don't it?) of beautiful British Columbia (a.k.a. God's Country). I drink from sparkling freshwater lakes and have magnificent views of the Coastal Mountains in every direction. Eagles, blue herons, hummingbirds, wild salmon, seals, whales, cougars, elk, deer and bears LITERALLY live in my back yard (well the seals, salmon and whales are in the front yard because it's the ocean). I have embraced the local culture, which includes the local hockey team, the anointed Vancouver Canucks. I gotta go, they're on right now.
We don't root for the same team or live in the same place, OBVIOUSLY, but despite our differences, we both love JESUS. I noticed in your profile that your favourite verse is the same as mine and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

love, Mended Ear :priest:

See, i made it easy for ya:p

I think I have just found my holy grail on the message boards!!!! Whoo hoooo!!! I am a RABID Canucks fan who is misplaced in the land of low IQ's and basketball (they seem to go hand in hand) in Indiana. I started following hockey in '94 so I guess you could say I jumped on the bandwagon that year BUT.....I kept following the 'Nucks even during the not-so-good years (Keenan, anyone?? aaaaah!!!!). I am going to see them in Columbus on March 6th. I got 4th row...that's the closest I've ever been. I'll probably need medical assistance by the end of the game! lol!!!

Good for you Hoosier!! Hope you have a blast and a victory at the game!!!
You can't get tickets in Vancouver- period- they sold out back in oct. I think. I saw them play in Ottawa last Nov. gReat fun!!!

Anybody else glad that Bertuzzi seems to have realized that he's not Gretzky and is finally playing IN FRONT of the net instead of behind it? And anybody else think that that HUGE salary may be a distraction?
How 'bout the TWINS this year? Have they been great to watch or what??

3 losses straight though since the all star game........:o
