Right on Andy. Historical Christianity has never embraced the horror of the Crucifixion. It is forbidden in all of it's art work. Western Christianity, under the influence of Augustine, has taken a far different view.

I'm with you. While I knew that Jesus suffered and the Passion definately takes more than a few liberties with the story, it brought the reality of his suffering to me in a way that had never been done before.

Any movie that includes torture is offensive - such as 'Hostel'. It is really a sign of the sickness of some people that they enjoy watching stuff like that. I don't find it healthy to enjoy watching 'Passion of the Christ' either, whether one is Christian or not.

Queen of the Damned: Completely mutilated Anne Rice's book so that it hardly made sense at all! And the acting was terrible! I always get annoyed when watching the Harry Potter films because they sometimes leave out key stuff in the story. Lol.

I hated that movie, (and plenty of others) but the consumer is free to make their choice about what to see or not to see.

As a movie the Passion was decent, as a Christian I found it seriously lacking.
