CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know alot of kids there. They went to highschool with my daughter. They call me Second Mom. Anyway, I went on Facebook, and oh, lordy, it was hilarious. They were having such a celebration. Biggest upset in College Football, they say. I called my brother who lives in Michigan and left the following on his voice mail:
Dear Michigan,
Our Momma's raised us right.
Thank you for paying us hillbillies to come up thar and teach y'all how to play football.

LOL! The whole state was in party mode for about a week after the game. I was sitting in a surgery center and heard two little old ladies talking about it.

I thought y'all got knocked out of all of that when we beat you. Anyway, we are not much of a football state. We are a basketball state. You do not even want to know what March Madness is like in NC.

Seriously - what was your major? When were you there?
I live just off US 23 about 1/2 mile from the Michigan line. We get up to A2 a few times a year - for shopping and such.
I'm not!!
I'm just hoping that Coach Carr figures out how to beat OSU this year.
