Okay, I have also clashed with Indrid, but I want to say something kind about him. I just read his profile and he is a law enforcement officer in Miami. If he is in Downtown Miami, you might as well say, that he is a police officer in hell. Seriously, that is where my husband was when he had his accident last year. He spent 25 days at Jackson Memorial, and I stayed in a motel within walking distance. It is one of the most awful places on earth. There are drug dealers, prostitutes, homeless, and gang bangers of every kind. There was not a single day there that I did not encounter a whole slew of cops at Jackson Memorial because someone had been shot or stabbed. My husband for a very short time was in a room with a guy who had been stabbed. Seriously, even if we do not agree with what Indrid writes, let us try and give him some props. He is a real life hero.

I was going to write to you in your thread about reconciliation that if I have wronged you - I do apologize - we do not need mediation since our clash lasted all about one or two posts - but if it was my fault then I apologize, recant any statements I made and take the blame.

Jackson - at least they know trauma real well - been there and got the scars . . .

Oh, honey. My DH was at Ryder for half of it and at Jackson for the other half. I know they are reputed to be the #2 Trauma center in the country, but I have horror stories. If you ever come to North Carolina, you will see what a really, really good medical facility is like.

I mean they LOST him at one point. They let him go home with MRSA! They saved his life, but, boy, oh, boy, no, they are NOT good hospitals. Have you ever lived anywhere else?

I appreciate your kind words but the real hero's are those who protected us when we needed them. And of course there are those who run into burning buildings. (never earned my 440)

It was rescue workers who kept my husband alive and got him to the hospital. He was airlifted from the boonies in Homestead to Miami. Yes, you guys are heros too.

I'm glad your husband was rescued and taken care of. Is he well now?

Do you know that the very first EMS system originated right here in Central Ohio? I had the opportunity to meet some of the very first "licensed" paramedics ever. It was an honor. While I was in the Navy I also got to meet a couple Congressional Medal of Honor receipients. The only time I was ever speechless. I have a few friends who are flight nurses and medics. I hate helicopters and never wanted that duty.

Oh well I have derailed this far enough. I just hope there is some way to bring our brother back.

We need to be very careful not to be accusing each other over the Time situation. Not one of us knows all the details or the truths of the situation (and personally, I'm not sure that I want to).

I've worked with Jim on staff off and on for over a year (I was on staff with him before). I've never found him to be anything other than fair. He loves the Lord and God's people and considers his work here an extension of that love.

I've worked with Time over the past month or two and have enjoyed working with him. I find him to be extremely passionate in his beliefs. There have been times when that passion has contributed to some stress in more than one thread.

No matter what the outcome of Time's ban - unless we voluntarily leave foru.ms, we are in a situation where we will continue to fellowship with each other. People are allowed to be upset - I'm not saying they aren't. But we need to be upset with the situation and not with each other (especially when it isn't anyone here's fault). It would behoove us all to guard our tongues now so that we don't irreparably harm our relationship in the future.

16 months later, the doctor is going to do an assessment on him. This JUST happened on Friday, so maybe, maybe, maybe, he will be released to go back to work. He is just about stir crazy.
